They are women—I can’t stand the 2 minute rounds.

I have zero issues with Women doing anything a man does if the standard remains the same.
You want to be an Army Ranger then take the same PT test and do the same length Road marches (which they do require) to wear that TAB.

You want to box well then go 3 full minutes.
Calling yourself the GWOAT as a femal boxer is like being the tallest midget in the circus.

Certain folks here seem to think Marshall landed nothing. Just pointing out some facts.

She did not seem to have a plan B whereas Shields seemed ready to have the engagement on whatever terms materialised.

 

yea she fought a dumb fight. I expected her to fight alot different than that.

 

Marshall fought her ass off, too. It's just that Shields is much too good for her. The fight was an absolute war, IMO.

 

If you want to make an argument that your punches should count more because of power, I want to see the opponent get stunned at least.

Seems like if there was a difference, it wasn't too meaningful. I saw Marshall's head snap back more often. Whatever the reason the power difference displayed their who career just wasn't there tonight.

 

That's asinine. This fight was a solid 96-94. Did you follow the bout on the radio by any chance or are you blind? Shields hit a ton of air and glove. Marshall landed some good power punches and was constantly on the front foot. Shields's deserved UD is based on good counters and shoe shining to steal close rounds. Especially effective with only 2 minutes between rests.

 

Pretty much went how I thought except that she did not get stopped because she a lot of accurate leather as I know she would.
