I've watched the ko several times and it looks like the punch landed on a part of the chin and nose. Helenius was also caught whilst he was throwing and was moving forward which added to the momentum of Wilders punch, add that to the fact that Wilder has heavy hands and Helenius jaw is not the most sturdy and it's going to result in a stoppage. Nothing controversial here! Helenius would stand to earn more if he actually beat Wilder than to throw a fight! People need to use common sense

His body stiffened up and his head bounced off the canvas, you can't fake that. That wasn't a dive and you know it.

Damn, if Wilder now has this in his bag a 1 inch Bruce Lee punch, when you are on him on the ropes, he's unstoppable. Sometimes a perfect short shot is all you need. Glass Joe taken into account.

Its been a long day of boxing and that usually means a great Saturday. This Saturday has been very unsatisfying day of boxing. Haney and Kombosos was a useless rematch that played out exactly as predicted. Wilder and Helenius ended as brutal as predicted. The women fight was meh.

I have to be honest. I had no idea so many people thought like this until I came to this forum. I just can't understand why people would continue to be boxing fans if they really thought all these shenanigans were happening on such a regular basis.

Fury is nothing special. Helenius is a 39 year old whose career went in the crapper a decade ago. Sadly he is still one of Wilders best wins, and would be one of Fury's too.

There's not much more else to say other than Wilder showed up for this fight and Helenius hit the buffet. Clearly not a dive in the literal sense.

People say dive lol I’d maybe consider calling it dodgy if Helenius weren’t KO’d by bums before many years ago. He’s now nearly 39 and those two wins against Kownacki are nothing, he was an overweight punch-bag.

The only interesting angle to this fight was if wilders head was still in the game and good to see that it is, it’s good for HW boxing.

I agree, his performance was great. They bungled the execution with the punch, that’s what happens when you have a guy as uncoordinated as Wilder. It’s pretty funny really, I’m glad this happened instead of the predictable Wilder knockout. Even funnier with the fact that the fans on here are trying to pretend that it was a legitimate knockout lol
I hate when people talk about fixed fights, and I’ve never believed anyone who has claimed that before. This is personally historic for me, the first fight in over twenty years of watching that I can confidently say was a dive. It was hilarious

Yes. Yes they are. He didn’t need to take a dive. The matchup itself ensured this would be the result.

    No dive lol.

This is just what a genuine glass jaw looks like. They exist.

They are close friends, Helenius was relaxed, the replays show it was an open handed slap to the nose? What else do you need? Helenius is a scrub with no chin, absolutely. Wilder might be the heaviest puncher in the history of the sport. That was 100% a dive and an agreement between friends.
