I think it was a dive. Malik Scott already took a dive vs Wilder. Also, why Wilder couldn't KO 140 pound Charlie Z after landing multiple shots, but took out massive Helenius with a slap.
Dude literally looked slower than a bucket of molasses, threw 6 arm punches, tried to set the dive up beforehand and people are now going to defend Wilder lmao
right arm in external rotation. it is very hard to generate power in a straight punch like this. Not fully pulled back too. hit him on the nose and there is not a mark on his nose nor does it look broke. If you threw a straight punch with power with your arm in external rotation like that you are likely to injury yourself. Apart from the fact that it would be near impossible to throw with decent power. It was a badly thrown slap with zero power. this was a staged fight and was very embarrassing
The lack of reaction from the crowd when the ''knockout'' replay was shown was funny, normally you'd get a ''OOOOOO'', they knew that wasn't a knockout punch.
I don't know what to think. Watching it live, it didn't seem like that hard of a punch. I don't want to call it a dive because I doubt they had some arrangement but I wonder if the shot was enough to put Helenius down but he just decided he didn't want to get KTFO so he stayed down.
I watched the replay multiple times and there is no leverage on that shot to get that kind of reaction from Helenius. They’re friends and they’ve been to each other’s houses. I’ve seen dives in other Wilder fights like the Malik Scott fight. This one looks suspicious.
I thought so too but look at the replay Kirk has from YouTube. Helenius is out when he goes down, there is no way he took a dive. More likely, he just has zero punch resistance at this point of his life. He's been fighting since he was 5 years old. It's time for him to hang the gloves up.
he got up in a minute or 2. Spilka was on the canvas for 10 plus minutes. the fact he got up that quickly when he was supposed to be very badly hurt is suspect.
Anyone that genuinely thinks this was a fix clearly has one chromosome too many. Helenius stock rose after the kownaki fights, if he actually beat wilder imagine what would happen to his stock then! Fury would come knocking and try and claim Helenius as a quality contender and fight him instead of usyk or Joshua and Helenius would stand to earn a LOT of money. This is what these guys fight for, MONEY, how much would he realistically get for throwing a fight with wilder???? What does wilder gain from having the fight fixed? Especially after losing his last two fights, it would give him a false sense of security. Use critical thinking for ducks sake
