Sometimes a fighter is simply better and last night Marshall lost by a bigger margin than those scorecards.

Marshall needs a proper trainer if she wants to improve and come again stronger for a rematch.

 

98-92 or 97-3 were fair. Couldn’t get Marshall any closer than that.

No need for that Jim. Boxers often talk rubbish in the aftermath since they were in the fight and remember their version of it. Shields won wide but Marshall was on her feet at the end, nicked a couple of rounds and probably felt it was closer.

Have always enjoyed Peter Fury’s interviews and punditry but have never seen anything from him as an elite level trainer.

 

Yeh Jim she maybe has a different version of the fight in her head than what we saw (dunno what kugans on about saying 97-93 is wide). But she still give more praise than making excuses. Sometimes when your in the fight, you have a different view (obviously) to those on the outside, particularly straight after

 

She was lucky to win 2 rounds. Good to see her and her chav mate humbled.
