He walked into a flush punch - Wilder hits insanely hard - Helenius has a poor chin Caught cold, and a result many here predicted so nothing to see imo
As someone pointed out he would have to have a neurodegenerative disease to get knocked out by that and/or have no skull
I think people are trying to cover their own asses after the “Helenius is a live dog” narrative that has done the rounds on this forum lately. If Wilder/Helenius happened before their respective Kownacki and Fury fights no one would have picked Helenius.
I don't think I posted before the fight. But this was a mismatch and I expected wilder to destroy him as did many others who think this was a dive. Its the bio mechanics of the punch that makes it look fake to me. Wilder also has a history of dodgy fights with his friends eg scott. If it wasn't for that I'd give wilder the benefit of the doubt.
Legit KO Dude was frozen stiff with his eyes open when he hit canvas. Fury's stock rises, OP blows a gasket again lol
Nothing alike to be fair. Bentt rotate his body pretty much fully + that was more of a hook punch with full force extension.
Really? My post pre-fight : This is my initial reaction, before seeing the replay: I posted 5-6 similar opinion on the thread claiming Helenius is going to win or so, but not going to dig more of it. I also said this is a very good comeback fight, cause Helenius is on a streak. Way, way better fight than Chisora, and this is a comeback fight, not a Championship level one. Also Helenius is a good name in anyone resume actually. And in Wilder resume he is his 2nd or 3rd best opponent, behind Fury and maybe, just maybe Ortiz. Actually on par with Ortiz to be fair. It could very well not be a dive, but Helenius durability to be shot by s****. Same as Whyte in Fury fight to be fair. But that was not f**** hard punch at all. No matter how insanely powerful Wilder is. From that position, without properly rotate your body, and with an arm away from your body, you just can't generate the right amount of power. No matter how good of a puncher you are. There is physics to this s****. In Wilder defense Helenius was already twice KO cold already, so it could be a case of his chin being cracked to the point of light punch to the coming Helenius to be the end blow of him. His selling against Duhaupas and Washington was top notch as well, aka he was out cold brutally. It just the replay and the mechanics of the punch that doesn't looks right.
He didn't ,shoulder was externally rotated, he didn't get his hips into it and was going backwards. Wilder also has a history of dodgy fights against his friends .but if its your opinion its real that's okay
