It's useless to explain it to people who have no idea how a punch is thrown properly in order to generate power. They are living in a dream world, where they think that a boxer just thrown a punch in whatever fashion and because the X boxer is heavy handed they just get the KO, no matter how the punch is thrown. They never heard of a word called physics as well. But why i'm surprised. If we open the RBR thread of Wilder vs Malik Scott, people were explaining how that was legit KO as well. Not to mention that you are supposed to hit with your two knuckles part(your index and middle finger knuckles), and that punch landed on the nose with the external part, aka the two knuckles you are actually not supposed to hit, aka ring and pinky finger knuckles. But what do i know. All that time i was doing push ups on the wrong knuckles, such a waste ....
Watch the documentary Room 237. Stanely Kubrick reveals in The Shining how he faked the moon landing.
I think Helenius was basically there for a paycheck only and was looking for a way out. He got hit in the nose fairly hard and it was time to clock out.
There is much more than raw power to KO someone. Speed, Explosiveness, the point where the strike hits the target, general punch resistance and obviously the fact if the other guy sees the shot coming. I think Wilder just is a sniper with lethal power and he has that skinny and tall mans speed with long limbs. He's that kind of guy who hits the 999 at the boxing machine on a street festival without even preparing some big powerful swinging shot. You know. His body is made to be a puncher. And his awkward technique is an additional factor.
Helenius was there for the paycheck and I woudn't be suprised if they had pre-fight deal he is going to get knocked out in the end of the 1st round. Helenius was also 15lbs heavier than in the Kownacki fight. It seems he had too many beers and came only for the paycheck.
You might have noticed helenius was tranferred to hospital after this 'fake' punch . Nobody in the boxing world questions it was a brutal KO. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.mi...ntay-wilder-robert-helenius-news-28250912.amp So all people including the doctors in hospital are stupid and you know the truth as well the physics of how to set a punch . Yes ...
yeah if it was just some unknown journeyman 1000-1 underdog, no one would say anything. but because people have attempted to put Helenius somewhere close to Wilder's level . they need to explain how it happened.
Helenius surely didn't make any effort to get in shape for the fight, his weight last night is probably his walking around weight. But to think that he was paid to lay down that way, on PPV, it's just a stretch of the imagination.
Eh to be fair i don't even remember that fight or what happen. Neither my comments. Neither my initial or after examine it after. In the live footage i didn't see anything strange in here as well. It looks like Helenius took a huge bomb, while coming in. And again it was more the way of the punch thrown, then the claim that this is 100% a dive. As i state, this could be a case of a fighter durability being shot to s****.
If it was a dive, Helenius deserves an Oscar for his performance. Just look at the way he went down, nothing like Malik Scott who put his hand out to soften the fall, Helenius went down like someone had just pulled the plug on his brain. He walked into a punch he didn't see coming and with his weak chin it was enough to put him in la la land.
Sorry but definitely not legitimately KO'd like that from that punch! Boxing, pfftttt! Joke of a game.
