Not the same for sure. But range was more or less the same, besides both Morrison and Helenius get hit across the face, not in the chin, or the temple.

What me and DmitrKudrayshov are explaining are different. It's not just the range, but there was no hip rotation, arm is away from the body, and there wasn't much in that punch. But maybe Helenius chin was that bad, or his camp was terrible or so. A lot of things can influence your current shape and punch resistance to be fair.
I'm not claiming that this was 100% undoubtedly a dive, but there was not much into that punch, which also make the whole situation strange at the very least.

Could have been a 100% legit KO ? Yeah sure, but from a punch that doesn't have much behind it, simple as that. And this ain't a knock on Wilder power, he is a big puncher.

However I can just say I watched many videos from several angles of that KO and I noticed the sound coming from that blow was not that of a common punch. It really sounded like a hit of a stick.

Not saying dives don't happen I know of ones that have but that punch clearly rattled Helenius head even in slow motion and he looked gone on the ground.

That hasn't stopped people from claiming Kovy took a dive against Canelo despite Sergey being brutalized there. Fans often claim dives when they don't like the result.

I agree at first glance it looks suspect, but concentrate on the impact on Helenius's head when the punch lands. Notice how his head rattles, you can't fake that.

Wilder can generate power with what LOOK like arm punches. Same with Joyce

These are real fighters

Not bodybuilder crossfit champions who are all looks no substance like AJ

the replay shows a very legit punch.
Helenius head rocked all over the place.
walked straight into it.
Wilder is levels above Helenius.

true.
George Foreman often look like he threw arm punches and some look like light short nothing punches.
people don't understand the relaxed raw power of this type. they make it look effortless. naturally blessed power

That fight was certainly a dive. You do realise you can allow a light middleweight to hit you clean for millions and it be a dive, right? These aren’t mutually exclusive

I was 20 feet from the ring and shot sounded like a cannon. It’s probably just one or two posters on here and their alts claiming dive. Idiots.

You can question a lot about Wilder, but the one thing you can’t question is his power. Guys taking dives don’t get their head snapped to the side like that or fall and be glazed the way Helenius was. He has a fencing reaction FFS.

Bring on AJ.

That same "light middleweight" has a history of being a devastating KO puncher. Look what he did to Saunders, Plant, etc. Kovalev was known to be chinny having been stopped previously. The impact of that punch clearly rattled Kovalev to his core, but yet the "dive" myth persists.

This generation of fans just convinces themselves that an outcome must be fake if they don't like it. Truely astonishing to go to continuously see

I always felt the Malik Scott bout was a Dive because of that I am suspect of this fight too. It really doesn’t look like there was much on the punch. And it didn’t even land on a sweet spot like the temple
