I guess the only thing that's making me hestitate as to an early stoppage is that Wilder tended to box a bit better than Ruddock did at the time Lewis fought him (we probably both remember when Ruddock used to be able to box much better and wasn't in love with his "smash" reputation).

I see Steward-era Lewis being cautious and highly aware of the right hand, keeping his left up as much as possible and thus not quite landing the jab the way he'd like to. The overhand starts landing flush for Lennox after four or five rounds, but I see him fighting a wary battle, finally stopping him in the 8th round.

Wilder would be dangerous to Lewis at several points of his career. Lewis would need to be 100% focused and in shape because he had a tendency of dropping the left and not taking lesser opponents seriously. He would pay dearly if he went in there overconfident with leaky defense. Wilder is better than both Rahman and McCall.

The best version of Lewis takes Wilder out within 7 rounds.

You guys need to stop acting like Lewis didn’t get hit with right hands. Bruno, Mavrovic, Vitali, McCall and Rahman all caught him, and Briggs got the left hook in.

A decisive, early victory for Lewis.

Lewis would KO Wilder in the early to mid rounds. Of course Wilder has a punchers chance but I reckon Lewis is savvy enough to do the job with out being caught.

Deontay Wilder vs. Lennox Lewis results in Wilder being even more creative in excuses since he already amazed everybody.

This would be as epic as watching Klitschko vs Klitschko fight! The doubleheaded kingpin which rules with power! Who wins ? Idk. Will it ever happen? Nah.

I see this match-up as another Rahman/Lewis scenario. Like Rahman, Wilder has the punching-power to knock Lewis out but he really needs Lennox to be lazy and complacent to do it, because he lacks the skills to beat him if Lennox is focused, and Lennox definitely had the power to stop Wilder.

Overall I think this is a match up that Lennox would win nine times out of ten. I dont think Wilder is anywhere near Lennox's league.

It's amazing that some still underrated Lennox.

I'd confidently pick him to beat prime versions of Fury and Wlad. I would be very surprised if he didn't stop Wilder inside 6 rounds and gobsmacked if he lost Joshua.

Big puncher has a slight chance but all round higher calibre fighter Lewis should win this by stoppage

Lennox Lewis gets scared and bombs Wilder out similar to Ruddock.

So how come he did not "bomb" out the obese Samoan or Oldiefield or drugged up Tyson impersonator aka the Ghost of Mike Tyson or the Euro bum with the Mohawk or trial horse Mercer whose claim to fame was defusing Tommy Chin and thats it ?
