He’s lucky there wasn’t another couple rounds. GGG was all over him the last few.

GGG needed to start going hard in round 5 and onward, then he would have won. This was a very winnable fight for GGG. The things that i was impressed with on GGG was his defense and his rediculious durability. A very good super middleweight puncher" Canelo "couldn't faze him. What bothered me was GGG,although pretty affective and competitive, couldnt seem to get out of first gear tell the later rounds. It seemed like all the weight lifting and trying to put on weight affected him. He did seem bigger and stronger than Canelo.

I personally think that he should have completely overhauled his gameplan given his loss of speed and the way Canelo thrives off being faster than his opponents. IMHO he should have turned it into an inside slogging match, wrestled Canelo and robbed him of his space. Canelo's big weakness has always been his hamster lungs and tiny gas tank. He needed to attack that more. Maybe he believed Canelo's pre-fight boasts that he was going to "end his career" and really thoguht ginger was going to come steaming in recklessly ...?

Yeah, Canelo was kind of bluffing him so GGG wouldnt figure out he had a sore wrist.

It was a winnable fight for GGG. We were all disappointed in GGG's gameplan of refusing to "fight" for the first 8 rounds. And even in rounds 9-12, while he showed some urgency and stepped it up a bit, he still never went balls to the wall. He should have come ready and willing to fight from the opening bell. If he did that, he had a good chance of winning. And win or lose, he would have the respect of the fans for giving the fans a good fight. He lost the respect of the fans with that pathetic "little kitty cat" performance. Which is ironic given that he pretended to be the one looking for a "Mexican style" fight. In fights 2 and 3, he didn't step into the Lion's den and give the fans the fight he called for.

Everyone talking about GGG ducking Lara on here it seems. I just don't see it. Golovkin is a different prospect to Jarret Hurd. When Lara gave Canelo trouble, Canelo was not the fighter he is now. He's improved loads since and juiced up and built a lot of size and strength too in my opinion.

Nope, canelo was the one who was disappointing, after boasting he'd end GGG's career and KO him, and all he did was tap tap for the entire fight. Golovkin made it clear it was just business. Clenelo was the guy with the big words directed at an old man and ginger failed miserably to deliver on his promises.

I agree, if he continues then eventually he'll get beat by someone like Falcao who he's head and shoulders above

I think he should go out on a high note and call it a day

Who beats him at 160? Charlo? That’s probably about it.

If Golovkin fights like he is capable and not holding back, he will defeat Lara. If he holds back and f@#$! Around anything is possible.
