Well this probably takes Wilder Joshua off the table. Wilder will be looking for a big fight and AJ needs a softer touch.

But according to everyone he was fighting Arreola, lol. I guess that wasn't true.

Don't think Joshua/Wilder was ever on the table with Wilder/Ruiz mandated as a final eliminator and Wilder's management not even wanting to discuss a future fight with Joshua before the Helenius fight.

according to Hearn he was definitely fighting December 17
apart from those few weeks they were pretending he could fight Fury on December 3

    I'm guessing he's struggling mentally.
    in training .
with trainers and his self who don't believe in him any more.
he needs a long rest. away from it all.

Will probably return in June or something like that. Don't forget the Mr Olympia is in December, and Joshua needs to prepare for that competition if he wants to compete with these bodybuilder behemoths. I think a couple of puny cruiserweights would beat him too in that competition. lol

Best thing for AJ. Mental breakdowns dont fix overnight, I'm sure Hearn understands that atleast.

Soft confidence builder agasint the likes of Arreola or Wallin in the new year might work wonders. Im sceptical though.

Finkel raised the possibility this week of Wilder/Joshua and invited/goaded Hearn into reaching out. The truth is that neither side has made the commitment to make it happen.

Agreed unfortunately that Wilder/Ruiz is likely next. Not a terrible fight, but I wish he'd fight Joshua or Usyk. Finkel said they wanted one of those two, but I doubt they will get either one anytime soon. I don't blame Joshua for taking the rest of the year off, he probably needs it. I do blame Fury for fighting Chisora; that bout is an absolute nothing and will just push back the timeframe for everything else.

This should rule a line through the fact he 'wanted the Fury fight'.

Him nor his team neverr wanted it.

Fury will make short work of Chisora & be ready to fight again in February.
    barring some of fluke injury.

the Chisora match is bad but I don't think it pushes back anything

Agreed, people losing their minds over this have 0 critical thinking skills imo.

When Usyk jumps into the ring after the fight nobody will give a **** about it being a 'third Chisora fight'.

AJ will not fight Wilder until Fury retires makes no sense
It will be Wallin then a rematch with Whyte then he will try and then try to get Fury
Makes no sense to get 1 punch KOed by Wilder when he could land a good punch on Fury for Undisputed

Regardless, they actually did try to make the fight with Arreola, let's not pretend they didn't. Arreola thought he was approached, from what I saw. Maybe he was just daydreaming? Even if that fight doesn't happen they still went there. It's like making a move on your friend's wife but because it didn't come to fruition it's okay.

I suspect Arreola wanted more than they were prepared to give.

I also think they were holding out along with Team Fury, both of them wanting the other to announce the terrible fight first and take the heat.

Team Fury did it first and Hearn is watching the heat thinking, this backlash really might be bad for our crumbling brand. Let's just take a break and let everyone lash out at Fury.
