My understanding was he asked for a ridiculous amount as guarantee initially circa $15-20 Million when he has never earned anywhere near this sum. However ridiculous Lance that’s not the issue because he was never going to get such a guarantee but my understanding from what I am told is that he is difficult to negotiate with. I don’t think the fight will ever happen now he is fighting Aveneysan. What do you think? Do you think it will ever happen?
Cult? It’s amazing how success gets vilified. I will say from personal experience Al Haymon is good for boxers and boxing.
If it wasnt so tragic for boxing as a sport it would be almost funny how badly hes failed. Hes almost had the exact inverse effect he wanted when starting PBC. That being said, is Top Rank/Bob Arum that much better? If so its not by much, imo.
Your "understanding".... Ok, and of course, your source is yourself being there?? No, I doubt this will happen. Haymon and his kids have been freezing TC out.
that's all you take from my post?? A small dig? Haymon and his MATURE ADULTS still froze out TC. Happy?? You have no more insider info than anyone else here....that's 100% certain.
I like it when their fanboys assume I must be a fan of the other when I take shots at either Errol or Terry on social media and then they, as you do, start taking shots back at the other only to be surprised when they find I not only agree with their criticisms but I even throw in a few of my own ''Spence has forged a career feasting on leprechauns'' ''And who has Crawford fought, huh?'' ''His resume is crap too''
1) the commissions of the US and UK (among a few others) could fix the belt issues by not sanctioning fights with belts attachedcto them and force a 1 belt system 2) networks (those that are left interested in boxing) should push back against these weak stay busy fights that they are giving promoters and fighters millions. Throw that **** on free youtube.
I don’t think they did or have. They want to make the fight but TC has been difficult. He is not even a ticket seller or PPV star. The problem with some of you is that you don’t understand boxing is a business instead you think that there is some greater morality at play. My personal experience of Haymon when he signed a fighter I managed informs me a lot. Like I said Al Haymon is good for boxers and boxing. There is a reason the traditional promoters hate him yet his boxers love him with a passion. I fell in love with him too.
Spence has fought guys who are not ticket sellers. And if ESjr is such a draw, that doesn't matter. He will supposedly bring all the fans. We knnow that's not the case. Cut the "problem is you don't know...." ****. I know it's a ****in business. Boxing has turned to 80% business, 20% sport. I may not insult you anymore, but I don't for a second believe you are related to Azumah, nor are you some manager or insider to pros. Haymon is good for Haymon and paying his guys well enough to not need to take risks.
I do actually but that’s not the point. You have fallen for all the crap the traditional promoters say about Al Haymon. What you really need to ask yourself is why do the hate him so much? They talk about him he never talks about them. He is not trying to be a star like Eddie Hearn because he understands the boxers are the stars.
When the likes of Spence, Danny Garcia, Shawn Porter , Thurman and Ugas fight each other as well as Pacquiao they are taking risks. Personally I don’t remember the last time Bud who I like actually took a genuine risky fight. I don’t insult you either. Why should I? That’s not what I am about. I am a boxing man. My only point in this is pointing out that your bias has a wrong foundation on this issue. I have had a personal experience of the man when I relinquished a fighter to him gladly because of what he did. I have said it before and will say it again Al Haymon is good for boxers and therefore good for Boxing. Yes I am disappointed TC has signed for Avenesyan because I think Spence will move up to Middleweight to pursue Canelo.
" I fell for the crap...", "You don't understand boxing is a business." Listen more and stop telling people what you think they know.
