Rewatched the fight this morning. And I have to tell you, Canelo has no power at 175. None at all. He's too small of a man. Those punches that Canelo targeted towards Bivol's arms and shoulders sounded like BB pellets hitting a LHW frame. He just could not break Bivol's high guard.

Compare that to Beterbiev's shots against a big strong LHW in Joe Smith and he was punching right through the man's guard. The punches that Beterbiev landed on Smith's guard sounded like explosions going off. Andre Ward said live "it's a heavy, heavy shot". Just the sound of them sounded grueling and brutal.

Bivol is a very skilled fighter, but we will see how he looks against a true LHW in Zurdo Ramirez. Just one partially landed shot from Joe Smith almost had Bivol out cold. I wonder about Bivol's toughness. Still picking him to school Zurdo, but if Zurdo can somehow manage to land some shots then watch out. I can't wait for November 5th.

You see at 7:35 of this video how brutal the punches sound. I want to see Bivol deal with a true LHW who can land more than once.

Smith is a way bigger puncher than Zurdo. It also wasn’t a partial landed shot on Bivol, it was a punch that had all of Smith’s weight behind it. Zurdo is just too slow and hittable to get anything going against Bivol.

bivol should beat zurdo handily. If terrel gausha can outbox zurdo 20 rounds in a row in the gym, bivol should shut him out.

I like Zurdo for this fight, but I think it could go either way

Clenelo doesn't not have power at 175. He's just not a big puncher there. He's probably about average or a little above average.

yes, these big boys are proving too durable for canelos power. he cant break them down like he got used to doing the last couple of years. he needs to outbox them. i think he can do it.

Bivol's got a good chin and is one of the best defensive boxers in the sport. If you're shattering cheekbones/eye sockets and deforming biceps of 168 pounders then I think it's fair to say you hit pretty hard. And Callum Smith was a gigantic SMW.

Beterbiev has some of the heaviest hands of any LHW in history, is one of the top 3 hardest punchers in the sport, and he's the only world champion in the sport who can boast a KO 100% and even more impressive is the fact that none of his previous 8 opponents had ever been stopped before. Browne was stopped once but that was on a cut. So it's unfair to compare Clenelo's power to his.

Zurdo isn't a true LHW he's a freaking CW and the weight difference between him and Bivol is way bigger than it was between Bivol and Clenelo. But from what I've seen Zurdo has been training like a demon for this fight and he seems like he has full belief he's going to win so that coupled with his big weight advantage and solid skills makes him dangerous.

I think Ramirez has a really good chance. He has size, reach a good jab and is a good southpaw. Bivol isnt exactly the fastest fighter so i dont think that Ramirez will have too much trouble trying to find him. 60/40 in Bivols favor.

Canelos punches could not penetrate Bivol's guard.

They penetrated his bicep though. Showing that he has real power in those punches.
