He rematched the guy who KOd him cold with one shot, and stuck it on him from round 1, not dance around.

    How fragile is that?

Povetkin could barely walk in the rematch. Hollow victory for Whyte.

Rematched a very sick 41 y/o covid patient that had been shot for at least five years even when not struggling for breath. That was two years ago btw. Now Whyte is fighting a bum who would struggle against Chris Lovejoy, in fact fragile Whyte should just fight Lovejoy next.

Yeah and all the fully grown fresh healthy males on this board wouldn’t have survived even a fraction of the shots Povetkins chin and body absorbed, but by all means prove me wrong and visit Whyte in a training camp or something lol!!!

Besides, this takes nothing away from my original point regarding whyte not being mentally fragile because he had no clue how Povetkins form was going to be, he went in and did his job in fearlessly… unlike Anthony Joshua for example who went into safety mode in Ruiz rematch.

Except he wasnt a covid patient, because
He took some massive shots and you can rewatch it for evidence.

you aint a covid patient and your chin would crack from a body shot

Dude I watched him closely pre the fight and his ring walk where he was struggling to take a breath and moving like an invalid. He should have been nowhere near a boxing ring. A prime Povetkin would have taken Whyte to the cleaners btw.

Yeah a prime Povetkin would have smashed whyte I agree.

And Povetkin didn’t look top form in rematch but far from a frail ill covid patient to have absorbed all those hard, devastating punches from rounds 1-4 before going down.

You can’t train your chin, and an very ill man boxer or not would have folded far earlier from those punches imo.

Hell I bet money most guys here wouldn’t handle a fraction of the shots Pov took

Bet money that most people on here aren't boxers and might be in intensive care after 1 clean punch from a heavyweight.

But thats what im saying, boxer or not, how do you train your chin? Being a boxer doesnt make your chin anymore stronger than every other non boxer that works out.

And pov ate several clean shots from a hard hitting guy, showing he wasnt as frail as people think.

As I understand it that is only the case for certain PPV shows, this surely to god won't be PPV.

The thing with DAZN is though, they're clearly linking fights to additional subscriptions so they can do the PPV "ownership" model just as easily without it being a PPV. Whyte could maintain or add subs and get a certain commission for it, like he'd get a PPV cut.

All things are possible when they're measured properly and with the sort of retention / lifetime value models tech companies have (and let's be clear, DAZN is a tech company that became a broadcaster so that's how they behave).

Whyte just hanging around for a few more pay days and who can blame him, he’s a professional fighter. Nothing more than the second coming of Chisora with the exception that Chisora got in better condition as his career went on, Whyte’s just getting fatter.

He'd better be careful here, Whyte. We all remember the straight forward victory he was supposed to have against Wach and ended up copping a few hard right hands in a very sloppy performance. It only takes one decent shot...
