Out of shape, sure. But the uppercut showed his heart was there.

Not as much heart as Foreman being decked twice and gritting his teeth to win.

It's true, Foreman bled all over the canvas on that second knockdown, it was pretty scary.

That said, Mike was almost getting beaten all over the ring by Douglas and he did stay in there as long as he could.

Plus, look at the horrible beating he took from Lewis. They should have stopped that fight after the fourth round. Mike went out on his shield.

This is a boxing match, not a wrestling or grappling one. And like I said, Tyson won't be dumb to go there.

What's his choice, given how massive disadvantage he would have at reach and height?

And Tyson wasn't "mentally fragile?" Things don't go his way by the 6th round...he panics..."What do I do now?"

Fortunately for Mike, Foreman would simply slump over in exhaustion after the 6th.

Oddly enough, Mike often weighed more than 70s Formean and routinely fought guys who were that size or bigger.

Most of them didn't try to push around Mike though.

They couldn’t. Mike threw hooks from that range.

True. It took a lot of punishment to take him out. Only time he really quit as a top heavyweight is Holyfield 2. The later rds of the first fight he was taking a beating not to excuse his behavior in the rematch.

Hoylfield, Smith, and Douglas had no trouble pushing Tyson back, wrestling him, or walking him into shots. Not sure what fights you were watching. For an ATG Tyson was one of the easiest boxers to clinch or wrestle.

Foreman went 12 with Young and 10 with Peralta. The only time he slumped over in exhaustion after the 6th was the Ali fight which was in a hot outdoor arena where he got tricked into punching himself out.

Holyfield was post prison and Holyfield was juiced to the gills. Douglas wasn’t really pushing Mike around even though he was stale. Lol@Bonehugger

LOL@Peralta and Young. He had no problem talking to Jesus after that L. Must’ve been the temp of the overhead lights.
