Watching him train, Sonny was very agile for such a heavy set guy.

I’ve linked it before - there’s a short vid on Liston working out, training, just before the first scheduled rematch with Ali.

No joke, Liston looked to be in the best shape he’d been in for years - heading for 212 lbs max. by fight time - which was just several days away.

Too bad that one didn’t come off..of course postponed due to Ali’s hernia. Apparently Liston, who wasn’t getting any younger, was more than crushed when the fight was put back…

 

I made the kids at the boxing club skip to that and I joined in as I'd never seen/heard it till the advent of the internet

Both biographies I've read on Sonny were disappointing.

 

Random interjection, sorta kinda - I just watched Halloween Kills.

Absolutely no change up in the formula. Same old. Still, okay for sh*ts and giggles I guess. Maybe not even. Jamie Lee looked very old.

Perhaps one of my favourite treatments was Rob Zombie’s 2007 Halloween.

In that movie, Michael Myers was depicted as a 6’9” giant.

I don’t know if they confirmed same but it seemed obvious they were basing the physicality on real life serial killer - Ed Kemper who also stood 6’9” (think former FBI Director James Comey and add 1”) and holds the dubious title of being the world’s tallest serial killer. AKA - The Co-Ed Killer.

The people he killed were deemed to be surrogate victims - substitute representatives for the true focus of his hatred and malicious intentions.

This was proven when he finally did kill his true, primary target - he immediately gave himself up and felt no compulsion to kill ever again. Absolute textbook stuff. Creepy as hell. Why didn’t he cut to the chase in the first place?

This guys IQ was measured to be 145 - not too shabby. He managed to fool the psychiatric assessors (who probably weren’t too bright themselves anyway) at least once as to his being rehabilitated.

Mea Culpa. Well, it doesn’t look like she’s opted for plastic surgery so full credit to her.

The old Hollywood facelifts can pervert the perception of true ageing.

It’s not fair I guess. Women look absolutely heavenly in their prime. Perfection. There’s a lot to lose, nothing to gain.

From my POV, in comparison, us blokes don’t look so hot in the first place - some of us even get told we improve with age - more than plausible since the only was up from the get go.

 

I hate those botoxed lips ugh but as you say she doesn't look like she's gone for that.
I watched a drama last year, a modern remake of around the world in 80 days but one of the women had a botoxed lip which looked out of place.
I've still got my own (grey) hair but my hip isn't original and i didn't have a limp when Halloween first came out

 

Never heard of a guy that liked banana lips either. Nobody asked for it. Why do they do it, and who started it?? Take me back to the 1980s.

 

There's a woman works in a pub near me with banana lips and they actually look painful.
You usually see these abominations before the woman/girl attached
