Everyone needs to remember this when he pops up in a years time with a ‘relaunch’ fight under a different board.

    For how long?

    Or more aptly put...

How big of a promisted sanctioning fee will quietly resolve this in Connor's favor?

Probably because it is so blatant would be my guess there is no other reason to use the substance he used besides juicing.

Nothing emphasizes his innocence more than not attending the hearing and indeed relinquishing his BBBoC licence at the last hour.

I am no defence lawyer, however i do not believe any such lawyer would be suggesting the above actions, if you were fighting to prove you are innocent.

Time to find a new career Conor rather than living off your fathers name, as you even messed that up when it could have been very lucrative.

Pretty sure he was advised. His test was so dirty it was probably better to just drop the license and end the investigation. Keeping the dr or and/or people who supplied him the stuff out of it too.

Taking a page from the Fury book, he'll buy a house in Nevada and come back as a foreign fighter.

Well, no. It's funny how people can remember stuff that didn't actually happen.

Fury never gave up his license. His license was suspended, and he battled for eighteen months to have it reinstated.

The provisional suspension he had received in June 2016 — after UKAD went public with an eighteen-month-old 'A' sample which had tested positive for nandrolone (the 'B' sample had tested clean) — was lifted on appeal pending investigation.

His license was then suspended again in October 2016, after it was revealed that VADA had popped him for benzoylecgonine (cocaine metabolite) during his second camp for the aborted Klitschko rematch. An admission of cocaine use, published by Rolling Stone around the time the benzoylecgonine pop was reported, also contributed to the BBBofC's decision.

Which, incidentally, lends a certain degree of credibility to Hennessy Sports' statement that Fury was "medically unfit to fight" Klitschko upon their cancellation of the October 29 date. Cocaine isn't a healthy staple of a training camp diet, after all.

His BBBofC license was reinstated in April 2018, ten months before he signed with Top Rank and moved his operation to the US in pursuit of the big dollars.

These are all researchable facts that you can look up for yourself.

    He never was that.

Interesting side issue evolving here I think.

The BBBoC bent over backwards to make sure the Whyte vs Rivas fight went ahead and even seemed complicit in trying to keep Whyte's failed test out of the public domain so the fight could go ahead, which it did even after a journalist revealed the details of him testing positive. But back in 2019 Hearn and Matchroom were the dominant force in British boxing. The BBBoC even rapidly cobbled together a hearing to 'clear him to fight', according to Hearn.

Fast forward to 2022 and Matchroom/Hearn no longer dominate the British boxing scene. The parallels are interesting: Benn's failed test did not come to light until a journalist published a story but this time the BBBoC prevented the fight taking place, perhaps because Matchroom is not the vital cog it once was.

The misconduct charge is intriguing too. This is what clause 25.1.1 says:

    _________________________________

25.1.1 For the purposes of this Regulation misconduct shall mean conduct detrimental to the interests of boxing or the public interest and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing shall include:– (a) any breach of these Rules and Regulations; (b) any failure to comply with an order made by the Board or an Area Council; (c) any failure to honour any contractual obligation; (d) any attempt, directly or indirectly, to induce the breaking of any contractual obligation; (e) incompetence.

    _________________________________

The key phrase being 'without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing' ie: separate from and not directly pertinent to any potential ruling on any other ongoing issue (I think).

What has Been refused to comply with? Did he refuse to attend a hearing? Or refuse to supply requested details? Were they calling him to a meeting to suspend his licence and he pre-emptied that?

Whatever the reality is, it seems Hearn and Matchroom no longer have the influence and standing in UK boxing of three years ago...
