Like Ali "I didn't fight them Vietcong" dodging the draft, saying why me? When politicians sit back and cause the war...

George Foreman, always liked his soundbites, in a post fight interview he kept refering that his future ring was outside the ropes, in actual life, can't remember which fighter he fought though...
Then he came back challenging mid life agers to keep on dreaming! Reinvented himself to be a pastor for a bit. One of my favorite hw champions.

Glencoffe Johnson: wept like a baby when teddy atlas talked about his character. A grown man not afraid to cry live in ESPN Johnson was. Great character, the epitome of don't give up, look at his style for instance, tired of getting jobbed so he upped the ante and not retiring, brave boxer!

Tyson fury: if I'm correct he gave millions to charity smh at the hate this will garner though lol

Manny Pacquiao the people's champ, given away bundles to the poor and needy!

And I guess now we have wilder, a Advocate for fighters lol

Tyson Fury’s money is undocumented and heavily rumored to not have been donated (in regard to the first purse for Wilder).

Foreman settled a case for battering a woman and has an open sexual assault case involving two women who were minors.

Fury didn’t donate the money. Like a lot of things, he spoke about it and then nothing (seemingly) happened.

Eder Jofre was a great humanitarian. Won a prestigious Brazilian sportsman of the year award and used his speech as one to bring attention to a problem outside of his career where the sport isn’t being invested and sponsored there and younger fighters not at the elite level were not being treated adequately. Also worked for free for an organization to clean up his city for the youth and was influential in building soccer stadiums and health related changes. Then got into politics to use his name to help out the working and lower class to provide opportunities and clean up streets. Put in some important laws which helped the elderly and safety in sports among other things. Wanted his brain donated to be studied for CTE. Plus more.

Ooh that's some deep sh*t, I hope the allegations are not true. He seemed nice on HBO, naming all of his kids George, so he wouldn't forget their names. But a guy like him, could pick up any chick. I guess he was thinking with his bleep not his head. Justice will prevail. Did not know that...

He did likely beat a woman, but he deserves the benefit of the doubt for a 45 year old case where the only evidence is witness testimony of two people who know each other and also claim to be victims

    Badou Jack.
Worked to provide aid to the West African country of Gambia and has recently focused his efforts on helping refugee camps in places like Jordan, Syria and Palestine. One initial target for the Badou Jack Foundation is providing meals for Zaatari camp, which is estimated to hold over 80,000 Syrian refugees from the country’s civil war.

It was in the news just this week that Oscar De La Hoya donated $1 million to Adventist Health White Memorial Hospital. The money is to go to Cancer victims, including those who've lost loved ones to Cancer.

Max Schmeling deserves prominent mention here.

He sheltered two Jewish teens, likely saving their lives, when anti-Jewis riots (resulting in several deaths as well as houses burned to the ground) broke out in Berlin … putting his own life at risk.

After their careers, Max and Joe Louis became fast friends. Schmeling became the main Coca-Cola distributor in Germany and, as a result, very wealthy. He helped support Joe financially during some of his leaner post-career years when he had massive IRS problems and contributed funds to help pay for Joe’s funeral.

Yeah I love Schmelling. And my Father & his Sister had to run from the Nazi's when little children & their parents were murdered in concentration camps.
He was a Mensch. Yiddish for essentially a Real Man.

Two real heart warming stories of Scmeling the man and his actions with the Jewish children. He also refused to get rid of his Jewish manager Joe Jacob's despite the Nazi Party leaning on him at a time when people dissapeared just for disagreeing with the party.
Then there's his friendship with Joe Louis.Whether Louis believed the propaganda about Schmeling before their second fight i don't know but Schmeling was definitely his 'true friend's
I haven't seen the film about Schmeling and Louis and both are heroes of mine.
Louis for his part, like a lot of ex champions, was a soft touch, he couldn't resist a hard luck story

Eubank Sr used his post fight interviews to address political matters (usually a message to John Major to fund the inner cities lol).
