He tested positive and the BBoC ballsed up the investigation. Let’s hope their process has improved since then

 

UKAD didn't screw up the investigation. There was no investigation until eighteen months after the sample was tested, because they had accepted Team Fury's explanations, finding them consistent with the levels of offending substance in his 'A' sample (the 'B' sample tested clean). That suddenly changed only upon the advent of the 2016 media witch-hunt of Fury. Ask yourself when a testing body has ever brought a positive test to bear against a boxer eighteen months after the sample was provided? Yeah, exactly.

 

yes Fury's sample suddenly became officially positive failed test when the media noticed he was talking about Zionists & various perverts, two things the media holds dear.

prior to this, the test sample was sat in a drawer somewhere ,& not categorised as evidence of a doping offence.

which means either
* they covered up a positive test with a nudge and a wink when they still consider Fury a hopeful only the turn it on him later
OR
* they distorted a slightly irregular fairly benign finding into a full blown offence to support the overall establishment agenda at the time (ie. Get Fury!)

 

Well that's one way to avoid a suspension

I think we all know whats going to happen. Connor Benn live on DAZN Australia. ' He's innocent Kugs. He's been cleared by the Australian board and they are one of the strictest in the world when it comes to drug testing. We didn't have time for those fuddy-duddy guys at the BBBC to get their act together '

 

This is really interesting. My limited understanding was the choice presented to him was to either come with a reason why he hadn't violated anti-doping rules, try to do that and fail and be punished for doping, or essentially take this generic charge and lose you license. Sort of like a failure to appear in criminal court.

I wonder if this makes it easier for him to fight abroad and/or fight in the UK on a foreign license.

 

Which is why all this made me think about Hearn's position on the matter. If one of his boxers games the system to avoid a ban, by picking up a new licence with another governing body - the BBBoC are not gonna look kindly on that with Benn and his boss.

Wonder if Hearn's nose is out of joint because he assumed the BBBoC would have sanctioned the fight like they did with Whyte? The decision to prohibit Been vs CEJ cost Matchroom a fortune. Just seems to me there's a breakdown in relations. Benn might be able to sidestep repercussions, Hearn less so. His hand is pretty weak in the UK now...

 

And either scenario makes them much more nefarious and deserving of repudiation than the individual sportsman who tested positive, since they're supposed to be an upstanding institution that exists for the integrity and well-being of the sport.

Knocks out cesar rene cuenca or some other guy who punches about as hard as your average soft toy.... Claims to be hardest **** on earth while trying to pick the bones of yesteryears fighters... Guys a ****

 

About a week ago they were saying he was gonna come out with news and proof he did nothing wrong....Still ...... Waiting..... smh
