Whyte is absolutely crap yet I’m always astounded when looking on social media at the amount of people wanting to see him fight.
Whyte is the money fight and confidence builder then Eddie should throw money at Hrgovic too get AJ a position too fight for the vacant title when Tyson relinquishes them.
Would personally like him to fight Ruiz again. Just see if he can knock tubby out this time around. But the more sensible approach, would be going the Frank Bruno route. Which is rebuilding and fighting overweight drunkard pub punters, every Friday night every month for a couple of years. Joshua is like Wilder, all about the knockouts insids the first 6 rounds. I'm sure Frank would love to put him in with his pet Frankenstein Daniel Dubois in 2024.
There's a lot of good fights they could make. Fury will still be on the table. Wilder is an option. Joyce is another. Doubt he fights any of those but you never know.
After Wilder KO's Ruiz everyone's going to be calling for Hearn to throw Joshua in with him. No one wants to see Joshua in with relatively irrelevant figures like Hunter, Hrgovic, Bakole or Sanchez. Three of those guys are coming off terrible or unimpressive performances to boot (Forrest, Zhang, Negron).
We all know Wilders team don't have confidence in him to win that potential fight against AJ, hence why they've du ked him for years. I'll be surprised if Wilder even fights Ruiz and let alone beats him. I'd back Hunter, Hrgovic and Sanchez to beat the very limited Wilder.
Always wondered why you rate Hunter so highly. His last fight was a draw with Jerry Forrest who's won 1 of his last 6 fights.
Whyte has been 1 punch KO'd in 2 of his last 3 fights & at no point has ever been much of a threat to AJ (despite the hype of a few seconds he wobbled AJ in their first fight). he's not a top HW
Against two top 5 fighters in Povetkin and Fury and one of which he avenged. It's not like Whyte has been stat padding and fighting bums his career like Wilder,, Wallin and Schwarz have done. Whyte has beaten the likes of povetkin, Parker, Rivas and Chisora.
One poor peformance but Hunter has beaten Bakole, Kuzmin and was robbed a win against Povetkin. That's far more impressive than Wilders record.
Agreed... Like Hrgovic and Zhang, Fury Wallin, AJ Takam, all poor performances against questionable opposition. I'd like to Hunter AJ, personally think it's a 50/50...
