Well hopefully they meet up in the ring with each other to prove it. All this hypothetical stuff played out with May/Pac con game that Bob and Al ran on us for 7 years.
I won’t go that far but I do believe stylistically the match up is much better for Loma than tonight was against Ortiz. Haney would be mistaken to think it’s easy work because of tonight. Loma is very live and I would not be surprised at all if he beat Haney.
If tonight is all that Loma has left, he should retire. Hopefully he was playing opossum to entice Haney into taking the fight.
Haney is good, but you can see that Loma don't respect his power and mentality. Loma will beat Haney more comfortably than Ortiz. Loma will be fighting for his dream.
First and foremost, let's hope the fight happens. If they do fight, I have to give the edge to Haney. It's not that he's too big for Loma, although he is. The problem is that he is too long for Loma. He uses his length to great advantage and although Lomachenko will have better luck at getting inside than Haney's previous opponents I don't believe he will do it well enough or often enough. This is a points decision for Devin Haney.
I know Loma is a tiny lightweight but seeing these two in the ring together, it's mental to me they are in the same weight class.
