I can add that I know of top players from both La Liga and Serie A getting blood transfusions to be able to perform better. The skilled athletes have doctors employed who measure how many performance-enhancing drugs/pills the person can take without exceeding the limit. On the market today, there are performance-enhancing substances that can only be detected 3 hours after consumption.
