Well Castillo who was a Chavez sparring partner deserved a decision over Mayweather. Chavez was head and shoulders above Castillo. JCC by TKO

If you're going to say Castillo "deserved" the D in the first fight you conviently forget to mention he was thoroughly outclassed and dominated in the rematch.

I certainly think JC would give Mayweather a rough and uncomfortable fight, especially over the first half, but I still think May would win, and I'm guessing by rounds 9 on, he would be tagging Chavez repeatedly coming in with unanswered rights to the face, making it look like a sparring match

No way JCC would ever stop someone as good as Mayweather

Outclassed? The officials scored it narrowly for Mayweather (115-113). I actually scored the rematch a draw.

I didn't think the rematch was that one sided, Castillo won about 4 or possibly 5 rounds. No doubt Mayweather clearly won the fight, but the fight was still somewhat close until Mayweather pulled away in the championship rounds.

Not really going to debate who's going to win the fight, as i can see both sides of the argument. Chavez didn't seem to have too much trouble getting through Roger Mayweather's shoulder roll defence though, and the only time Chavez was really outboxed in his prime was vs Meldrick Taylor. But Mayweather isn't going to have the activity level of Taylor, nor would he throw combinations like Taylor as Mayweather likes to pot shot more.

I think it would depend on how many rounds the fight is scheduled for, if it's 15 rounds i'd make Chavez a clear favourite. If it's over 12 rounds it's a pick em fight IMO.

I think Mayweather takes a decision but it could also depend on which division they fight in

You actually think Floyd is going to make JCC look like a sparring partner lol you lost all credibility implying that one.

JCC's best win is Meldrick Taylor. People claim Floyd ducks all these guys, but his resume is still more impressive

None that I can think of but I believe Chavez would be stronger in a 15 round fight, due to his non stop aggression. Which I think would take its toll more on Mayweather if it was 15 rounds rather than 12.
