It can’t be Wilder because he 12-0’d Stiverne, a champion himself, to become a champion The actual worst champion would be some obscure guy who won a vacant belt that we’re all forgetting
Sent it down to the lab from some scientific and factual analysis and the results are in Valuev Holyfield Ruiz x 2 Liakhovich McCline Marcelo Dominguez Donald Barrett MD losses to Chagaev and Haye vs Stiverne Arreola x 2 Ray Austin Losses to Demetrice King, Big Joe Joyce, The Dosser x 2, Trevor Bryan all but one via stoppage Charles Martin Glazkov Washington KO win over Dawejko Losses to AJ, Ortiz and Kownacki, all but one via stoppage
Those people clearly aren't taking into account the fact that Primo Carnera, Marvin Hart and Jess Willard were Heavyweight champions at some point in time.
This thread could go for days, with all of the belts out there- Wilder is not the worst. He was an olympian medalist and a world champ, trust me there are far worse out there.
I specifically watched Primo Carnera and Valuev footage before making this thread lol. I still think they're technically better. For the n-th time. Wilder isn't the worst champion. He's the least skilled champ. Like people said - he's very effective and has his achievements. But even the most casual of casuals can tell there is something very wrong with the way he boxes.
Lol, I don't think Wilder is the worst, he's not even the worst of his era to hold a title. Martin was far worse. Though I'd say Wilder was the most protected of the title holders we've had in a long time.
If you mean the legit history of boxing then you could name any fighter pre-1940's. If you mean in the modern boxing I would say Rocky Marciano, Tyson "I throw arm punches" Fury, and Valuev.
