Um Joyce got hit by Joseph Parker. Parker isn't a big puncher. You act like this guy is walking through Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Deontay Wilder and George Foreman's punches. Also Joe Joyce was 27. He didn't get bigger, he put on more weight. I never seen a boxer put on more weight and it fixed their chin. So basically there is no "narrative". Joyce isn't that good and fighters like Wilder would starch him in a round or so.
Vitali knocked by Corrie Sanders but it was called a push. A old Lennox Lewis buckled Vital's with jabs. Also getting kicked in the head isn't the same thing as being punched in the head.
Exactly. Guess what? Joe Joyce was also knocked out in the first round by a fighter named Hazma Beguemi. You know what is funny about this? Hazma only beat one person as a amateur and it happened to be the living legend Joe Joyce.
https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1016595/algerian-boxer-shocks-england-s-joyce-in-opening-bout-of-world-championships There is no footage I can find out Hazma Beguemi stopping Joyce Joyce but there is the article. This content is protected Here is Uysk rocking and pushing Joyce around the ring which kind of shows how physically weak Joyce is. Could you imagine George Foreman getting bullied around the ring by a blown up 190 pound fighter like Uysk? Uysk is also hurting Joyce with his punches. No grown man's chin gets better after they are already grown
Yep, it definitely proves the granite chin is a myth. You can't have a granite chin and get KO'd by Kuzmin in the amateurs. Kuzmin hit Price with some good shots and didn't even drop him. Price retired in that fight with an injury. 28 years old is a full grown male and not a young athlete, it's right around prime, maybe a little over. The idea his chin should 'age' or improve with time is absurd anyway. And putting on bulk doesn't change a chin, only not draining a lot of weight would change it. Basically Joyce hasn't fought a proven puncher yet and been accurately hit. He'll probably get KO'd when that happens. But it'll likely happen sooner or later with his overconfidence in his 'magic chin', assuming he takes on some actual top 5 fighters before he turns 40. All the Joyce lovers should ask themselves why his handlers have waited until he is the wrong side of 30 to 'step him up'. They clearly don't believe in him the way his fans do.
David Tua was also around 19 years old when he was stopped. Joe Joyce was 27 when he was stopped not just 1 time but 3 times as a amatuer in the first round. Now fully power bombs by Joseph Parker who isn't a huge puncher bounce of his made up "iron noggin".
Exactly dude exactly. These people act like Joyce was some 17 year old kid when he got his clocked clean. But as you and I said this guy was 27/28 when Kuzmin blasted him out. He was also stopped 2 other times as a 27/28 year old amateur in the first round. Kuzmin has been boxing as a pro for 8 years and has yet to do anything. Kuzmin couldn't really hurt Michael Hunter a blown up cruiser weight for crying out loud. The moment Joyce gets in the ring with a live opponent who can bang he will get knocked clean. Any boxer with any level of skill would completely out box him. I never seen a heavyweight move as low as Joyce. He throws punches like he is underwater.
You mean 19 y/o like the 19 y/o granite-jawed murderous punching KO artist Iron Mike Tyson/Tua body double was when he was in his prime and was a wrecking machine/force of nature? Big Joe has never been KO'd and the Kuzmin stoppage was a premature amateur stoppage
'Arreola, who has shared the ring with Wilder (he rates Vitali Klitschko as the hardest puncher he ever faced, “hands down,” with Arreola listing Bermane Stiverne second''
And? It still happened. Your argument would have legs if Joe never went night night. But he has, so...
