Ew yeah Dirrell was an eye sore for sure. So was Calzaghe, but I liked Joe. If Keith Thurman retired tomorrow I also wouldn't care.
You didn't see much in Ward because other than the illegal tactics you mentioned there really wasn't much left. Without compliant ref's, judges and lots of hometown fights then he would probably only be remembered for his amateur exploits.
So you've only seen his last six fights? All of which occurred when he was campaigning in a division he's absolutely tiny for and is full of giants who are way bigger and heavier than him? In what is by far his weakest weight class and one he has no right being at? The only reason he's campaigning in it is because he's daring to be great But you're impressed by a boring gigantic weight bully like Haney who has literally never fought a prime world champion close to his size before and who weighs at least 2 divisions more than all the ones he's fought? And two of whom were shot inactive old men One of whom a badly injured one good shoulder Loma KO'd a prime active much heavier version of who was ranked P4P#11 and hadn't lost in six years? Another of whom a younger better active version of needed a gift from the judges to get by a fighter Loma literally toyed with and stopped like he was a bum? And one of the others a same size version of lost to a fighter who, again, Loma literally toyed with like they were a bum not a 2 division massive weight bully like Haney I don't get it Haney's best wins Linares = shot, inactive, who hadn't fought in 15 months and was 3-2 in his last 5 fights, both losses via KO, one to a badly injured much lighter Loma. This content is protected Kambosos = a one-hit wonder who won his previous three fights via SD, was an extremely favourable style match up for Haney, who can't deal with boxers even old inactive ones his own size or past prime career 126 pounders, and who clearly was in the right place at the right time vs the worst version of a post-covid Teofimo who had recently been involved in a very acrimonious divorce from his young wife Jojo = career 126 pounder who had only fought at the weight once, a fight I and many others felt could've gone either way, and the guy he fought that night had been KO'd by Loma victim Jason Sosa. Haney vs Jojo was a grotesque size mismatch even by Haney's usual standards. This content is protected This content is protected Gamboa = 39 y/o, had been shot to hell for years, should be 7-6 at 135, was chinny even in his prime against opponents his own size, and yet again it was another grotesque size mismatch between him and the way bigger and heavier Haney Robbery This content is protected Massacre This content is protected I still don't get it
I have admitted to only seeing Loma`s last 6 fights and have not been impressed, whats wrong with that?I am not saying he was not great earlier in his career. As for Haney i don`t think i have mentioned him in this thread.Correct me if i am wrong
Er. Haney is one of your favourite current fighters Yes you're impressed by gigantic featherfisted weight bullies winning soporific UDs over leprechauns they're 2 or 3 divisions bigger than There's nothing as let alone more impressive about Haney or anything he does better than Loma other than be three divisions bare minimum bigger than him and winning UDs over shot leprechauns half his size and he still need to hold like an octopus against them
Hey we all like what we like. Loma doesn`t do it for me ,Haney doesn`t do it for you, thats fine different strokes for different folks
True but again there's nothing as or more impressive about Haney. He's a boring featherfisted safety-first jab 'n grabber octopus giant winning snoozefests over leprechauns half his size Loma is the complete antithesis of that in every respect and he even hits harder than the way way bigger and heavier Haney
It would all be down to size and youth advantages if he did Even if he was only two divisions heavier than Loma he would lose If it was only one or they were remotely the same size he wouldn't stand a chance in hell And if Loma was one, two or three divisions bigger than him it wouldn't even be competitive. A two or three division heavier Loma KO's Haney 10 times out of 10
Bud Crawford? Maybe I'm looking at something different or need to get my vision checked, but Bud Crawford not being impressive??
I wonder what exactly is it from Loma that you don't like. Sure, people have their own taste and preferences regarding the type of boxers they love. I, myself, love boxers who use wits and techniques more and can fight beautifully. Usually people who don't like Loma is the one who prefer heavy pucher and KO artists like Canelo or Inoue, basically guys who are not messing around. But Haney ? That guy is not exactly eye-catching in style nor knocking many opponents out. To be honest, not even one of Haney's match that entertain and impress me as much as Ortiz when he beat Herring.
