Who would have the better resume? I give more credit to the guy with the better wins. How would you rate the situation if Fury lost to Usyk and Wilderbeat Usyk?

Then Wilder and Fury would be equal in terms of greatness but not in terms of H2H.

Almost 3 times the defenses. Not too many heavyweights have had that many title defenses. That's why Hilmes is so highly rated.

Well Wilder's resume is miles behind Fury right now and Fury has a winning record over him in the multiples. Wilder beating Usyk and Joshua would bolster Fury further and if anything show Usyk and Joshua two steps behind. If it somehow happened it would show Wilder to be underrated (therefore lifting Fury's wins) and Usyk and Joshua to be a bit overrated.

Of course this is all what if's but for me no way would he jump Fury given Fury's dominance over him and Wilder's shallow resume prior. Usyk and Joshua would drop down notably.

The body of achievement is not enough and he has fought in a relatively weaker era than the all time greats. Also his conduct is unbecoming.

he's King of an awful era, he got put on his backside several times by the worst heavyweight champ of all time, the heavyweight division has been awful since The Klits sucked the life out of it, Thank God Frank Sanchez has come to save the division

His only relevant win against an active fighter being over a guy with very limited skillset who he outweighed by 40lbs seems like a pretty valid argument against him being top10 ATG.

You can only fight who's available in your era. You can't just pull guys out of thin air and insert them in your era. Lol

I see no reason to put Fury above a Riddick Bowe at this point.
He is no ATG, no matter what he and his fanboys think at this point.
Main reason is his weak resume. If he beats Usyk clearly then its different.

Listen it is not more important

The most important thing is the money a belt brings

Nobody mentions lineage over a recognised belt

How about telling us why he is top 10 ATG. I'm curious who your top 10 are.

His career is still on going. can't judge his ATG status until he hangs them up. His Resume is not sealed and the people on his resume are not done fighting and what they do can also play a factor in how some of those wins are perceived. He could fight Usyk next year and get picked apart. Anything can happen to a career that is not complete yet

Exactly!!! That's why being considered an ATG is so special. You need to right opponents. It's laughable when guys come on here and claim someone is an ATG, yet hasn't been dominant in a division, less than 10 title defenses and beat opposition that any top 10 ranked fighter in history would have beaten. If a guy is in a weak era, then he better whoop everybody in and around the top 5 for a long time. Let's say Fury continues fighting for another 5 years, stays undefeated and defends his title 12 more times. In those defenses he beats Usyk, AJ and Joyce. Now that is an ATG quality resume. I believe Fury is more than capable of doing it too.
