Bivol has fought southpaws before and he didn’t have much trouble with them. Zurdo is a pretty good fighter and his size may present Bivol some problems early on, but Bivol is just better in nearly every way.
I am in two minds On one hand I want Zurdo to win and then see Beterbiev beat him savagely for the belt On the other hand, I want Bivol to win and then see Beterbiev beat Bivol to cement himself as a P4P fighter and be in contention for ATG discussion at LHW. Whoever wins is just keeping the belts warm for Beterbiev IMO PS: Beterbiev vs Bivol in Abu Dhabi would be massive!
I think people are really sleeping on the fact that he is facing a southpaw and it is going to be a problem for him. While it isnt impossible its harder to employ a left jab with sucess against a southpaw. Also lets not forget the other boxer is pretty big physically as well.
For those that believe in Ramirez, put some money on it. Right now the odds are you get a little more than double your money back on him. I don't see him winning this though, and it's not worth it putting anything on Bivol as he's the favorite.
He does quite well against southpaws, if anything he'll perform better. To my knowledge, he never lost to a southpaw, even as an amateur. He made quick work of Berridge, a southpaw, back when it counted for far more than it does now, the one Eleider Alvarez went the distance with. This content is protected
