People are saying this about Lomachenko, this is who you’re referring to right? If anything he has been greatly underrated by boxing fans because he doesn’t have the casual fans 0 on the end of his record. He’s still arguably pound for pound the best fighter in the sport. He is the favourite boxer of your favourite boxer. Potentially overrated by pros/experts who rate him as the best they’ve ever seen, and definitely underrated by fans who think those official losses to Salido and Teo mean anything.

 

The problem for Bivol is that he uses parries and footwork for his defense, Beterbiev has greatly underrated footwork for closing distance, and Beterbiev varies the tempo and range of his punches so Bivol’s parries are not going to be effective. That leaves a covering up defense for Bivol. I predict Beterbiev will stop him with a body shot. Zurdo was rubbish because he was slow and predictable, Beterbiev is a master of timing (as is Bivol). I fail to see where Bivol can win the fight.

 

If that's how you feel about it, keep on truckin'. Enough of a realistic perspective on Lomachenko has been widely realized by now that I don't feel any particular motivation to break it all down.

 

Zurdo was too soft and insecure, I expected more from him...

 

Unless Beterbiev catches Bivol with a big shot then he hasn't got a chance. He's too old now and hasn't the intensity to beat Bivol.

 

I agree it was a dominant performance.

Embarrassing, but what's worse is the fact that the Fighter didn't give it his all especially with all his interviews saying people should Bet their House on him, sad.

 

I still slightly favour Beterbiev. People don't land on Bivol. No one does, so every punch must be made to count, including those which find shoulders and arms. And when a punch finds the chin or body each must leave an impression. Every punch Beterbiev throws, hurts. And Bivol doesn't have the fight-ending power to stop Beterbiev seeking those few potentially decisive openings.

That said, I'm not at all confident about all of the above. It's just a gut feeling...

 

Many have clearly overrated Ramirez' capabilities and resume. Bivol was good, but there are many better at that weight alone

 

Dominant low blows were in full effect

 

Beterbiev, Usyk, Kovalev, Pacquiao, Margarito, Froch, Morales, Hagler, Hearns would never back down in the face of a physically strong and technically competent opponent the way that Loma has done or the way Zurdo did last night.

Those are my type of guys. That's a fighter. After last night I can no longer call myself a fan of Zurdo.

 

Pac while more than a half decade past prime was beaten by Mayweather. So what? Means nothing to me as far as my fandom is concerned.
