Surprised there hasn’t been any videos of this. Apparently Dirrell looked impressive although it was against a faded Gonzalez. Andre Dirrell used to be hot sh/t back in 2009 but just fell off the rails ever since his Shaw High debacle and then losing to Degale and Uzcategui. Curious to see if we’ll see Andre Dirrell more in the future after that devastating KO loss of Anthony Dirrell.

It's amazing Dirrell never won a legitimate, non-interim world title. Especially in the era of a million belts. Not a fan, but I hope he can go on a nice little run in his final years and work his way to a title shot, even if it'd likely end badly for him. He was exceptionally gifted as an athlete.

I actually thought he beat Carl Froch very unlucky not to get the decision

Gonzalez is spent, 37 years old & recently left most of what he did have left in the ring against Zurdo ... Direll never had it, he was a cry baby & drama queen.. athletically quite gifted and a talented boxer but mentally fragile and a suspect chin.. he embarrassed himself against Froch & AA flopping all over the ring like a demented seal pup & dropping to his knees like an LA street hooker .. who cares if he had more talent than Froch & was athletic.. you dont win a fight on your knees or by doing a track & field impersonation... its not the 100 yard dash .. Degale ended his hype & it was downhill from there...

How do you know he left it all in the ring against Zurdo?
Dirrell just beat Zurdo's best win

He wasn't impressive, he was trading back and forth with Gonzalez all night and taking shots he would not of taken in his prime against a faded Gonzalez. You can go read the RBR, CST and myself were scoring it. He's going to be easy pickings for the younger guys at 175.

It's weird how Anthiny ended up with the better career. Andre was supposed to be the talented one and Anthony had to beat cancer.

Always liked him. Very talented, slick boxer. Maybe mismanagement perhaps and defeats in important fights.

One of the worst stoppages of the year I might add. No one on the RBR agreed with the decision.

Andre was and will always be more talented than Anthony. Anthony had bigger power in his shots and a better attitude. Andre, could have been much more but he was always looking for the easy way. I disliked both so not bothered at all by Andre The Underachiever.

So true, for a boxer of his ability but he was a real 'campaigner', always liked an excuse, he's actually ****ed up very badly by not ever having picked up an alphabet belt of any sort. A boxer as talented as him with the backing of Haymon, US Networks and boxing community in general. It's actually quite a 'remarkable achievement' by him to miss out! I'm happy with it though, I disliked him immensely.

Andre has had a pretty disappointing career as a pro but man was he a legit badass at one point. I remember seeing him in the amateur ranks and thinking he was a sure-fire would champ. I thought he beat beat Froch before the Abraham. I remember being a bit down on him in the Abraham fight thinking he was acting a bit for the DQ but looking back on it I think he was legitimately hurt. Abraham was limited but he sure could punch and Andre was never the same again.

At 39 I think he is just looking for one last payday. Hopefully he gets and gets out.
