Bivol vs Beterbiev is destine at LHW hopefully 2023 but these guys are not calling each other out in the least bit. Maybe they want to have solidarity because of the war situation. They are the final fight for both at 175, there is no one left to fight for the both of them.
I was at Beterbiev vs Smith, not sure if it was shown on TV but in the post fight interview AB made it very clear that the only fight he was interested in was Bivol. They tried to talk about Yarde but he had a one track mind. I don't know what the delay is, seems like both Arum and Hearn are making them slaughter all the prized pigs at LHW before they can fight each other.
Beterbiev has obligations with the WBO (Yarde) and the WBC (Callum Smith) He has to face Yarde or lose the WBO. He made his WBC defence against Browne so he has more leeway with them. I see it as this; Yarde in Jan/Feb 2023 Bivol in Jun/July 2023 Smith faces WBC holder in December 2023
They're both Russian. They shouldn't fight and destroy each other's legacies. I'd rather see them fighting Western fighters. East vs West fights are always more interesting and exciting.
2 Russians have more chance fighting than a Russian vsa Ukraine, vs a US fighter, a UK fighter etc. Politics is broader than just $$ these days.
Not if Eddie Hearn is involved! He's already mentioned the Canelo rematch, Callum Smith and Buatsi as potential fights for Bivol. If Hearn gets his way Beterbiev will be drawing his pension by the time he fights Bivol
