Some Bull**** on here, we conquered the world and bled countries dry of all their riches.
The USA and ourselves killed Iraqis over phantom WMD so cut all the bull**** as very few countries have a saintly past

I agree. But you can still also think that that it’s not good that a country oppresses’sbwomen and beheads people, it’s not clean cut though I agree.

Thanks for the answers everyone, and for not making this a political discussion. I guess it’s a fine line but I’m really curious about how UK fans feel about this and not a debate about Saudi government, although the issues are intertwined.

As long as it’s on at a decent time I couldn’t care less.

Maybe I should, but if Fury v AJ or Spence v Crawford were held in the Middle East would anyone not watch to protest?

Better times than staying up for a big fight in the US but crap atmosphere means it has to be a really big fight to get any buzz from the build up.

Don’t really care about the ethical issues unless they end up getting some virtue signalling prat type situation like Gary Neville in Qatar.

They pay us for bombs and missiles so it’s not really much of an issue in comparison for them to pay for a bunch of people to go over and punch each other in the face.

Couldn't care less, fighters have short careers and deserve whatever decent pay days they can get and I'm sure these Arab nations coming in to the boxing game will give them plenty good ones.

The "X athletes have short careers" line always tickles me.

I don't think the West have the right to go to Middle Eastern countries, and wave a rainbow flag in front their faces and say you should accept lgbqt people because we have accepted them and you should too. Nor should they go and tell the Arab nations how women are oppressed there. Its none of our business. At all.

The West are happy to go over there and get a pay cheque or go on holiday, when it suits but they're also happy, to stick the knife in and say the Arab nations are backward. Its none of our business what they do or how they live their life so why are we poking out nose into their affairs?

Look at the "democracy" we have over here. Look at our morally bankrupt and corrupt politicians. Look at the amount of crimes, murders, stabbings, rapes that happen in this country. Look at how our government is squeezing Joe Public as much as they can out of his hard earned money. This country is an absolute mess. Yet we want to go and lecture Qatar etc how they should run their country?

I do not agree with Islamic Sharia Law so will never set foot in any such city or country for any purpose and that includes Dubai in the UAE.

The location for watching on TV makes no difference as a great fight is a great fight and a Matchroom mismatch is a Matchroom mismatch.

Once a boxer retires they can't ever work again, they can't do nuffink, so they need to maximise the bag while they can get it, you're a long time retired and unable to work so take the Saudi money while you can get it.

It's s**t for boxing, there's no getting away from that, it's a rubbish part of the World, it's where bellends go for their Instagram likes, holiday in Dubai with all the other plastics. I would honestly rather have a week in Hull than a month in Dubai.

A holiday in Dubai sounds like a holiday in Vegas without any of the good bits.

Why can’t a boxer ever work again after they retire?

A place where women get married, have children and aren't soliciting out on the town and all over the internet. Yes, that's a human rights violation according to Western Europeans.

Beheading gangsters, drug dealers, criminals, instead of putting them on podcasts to boast about their life of crime and letting them live in your neighbourhoods, another human rights violation.

Not being ruled by feminists who want to castrate you, another human rights violation.

Better go bomb them for democracy then.
