Bivol WAS a big puncher who tried to get the KO

Until his long time childhood friend maxim dadashev died in 2019 after brain injury in the Ring since that Day Bivol stopped going for the KO and adopted a more defensive style (maybe to get the less damage and inflect the less injury possible ? )

This death deeply affected Bivol , they grew up in the same boxing gym in Saint Petersburg and was close friend .

Bivol last KO was in 2018 against Barrera and Dadashev died in 2019 , this can't be a coincidence

Because you made an outlandish claim

then end the post with "Bivol last KO was in 2018 against Barrera and Dadashev died in 2019 , this can't be a coincidence"

Like have you just looked at his resume and drew these mad conclusions? probably.

You don't change the way you box overnight because your friend dies. If you are mentally affected to that kind of level then you need to quit boxing and many people do...there is no room for mental weakness in a boxing ring or you will get exposed...

See when Usyk is getting pummelled by Fury his body will give up before his mind. If his mind gives up first then that's a sad state of affairs.

Of course you do , As much of people try to make Bivol a Robot he is actually really emotional . He stopped letting his family watch his fight live after the Dadashev incident . He only let them watch it AFTER , he is only human he have a wife and 2 sons he need to take care

The loss of his close friend Dadashev made him realise he can leave them alone

Mad conclusions ? How are they mad , if you look Bivol on HBO you would see a different Bivol still being technical but way more lethal than today . He put a beating on Barrera and even stopped him , Ward went to the UD with him

“Yes, of course,” Bivol admits. “I know you can get damage. I had a couple of friends… one was an amateur boxer, a national amateur, who died from boxing and I had a friend, Maxim Dadashev… I knew him since I was a kid. He’s dead from fighting, because he got a lot of damage.”

You can also put people in a coma by hitting them with non-KO or mid-power punches repeatedly for 12 rounds, in fact it seems to happen like that more often.

If he wants to pull his punches against Beterbiev, that's a very bad strategy indeed.

An Australian fighter killed 2 blokes in the ring, it also affected him. Although a murderous puncher (literally) His ko ratio went way down. Hector Thompson. Fought Duran, broke his ribs. Said it was hardest hed been hit.
