Felt like having Roy in his corner was a vanity thing for CEJ, and can't help but think the same way here with Joshua. Actually thought Robert Garcia was a good fit for him and he performed well in Usyk 2 despite the loss - his bodywork was impressive. But if he wants to be a free spirit then so be it
Here's an unpopular opinion: He's probably still annoyed that Wilder was basically holding out for a king's ransom rather than signing for Undisputed. The guy just did what? 75k PPV buys? This is the guy who was demanding 40-50% with a limited profile, ffs. Let's not forget what actually happened across the many years of Wilder losing his pen and making ridiculous split demands. My smile would fade too if I was Joshua upon hearing Wilder's name. Wilder dropped the bag, but he also cost Joshua and all involved a **** tonne of money, not to mention legacy
Also saved Joshua from time-travelling into the next week. Joshua got battered all over the ring by a pillow-fisted fatty so Wilder would probably give him brain damage.
Well, then, Wilder should have jumped at the opportunity to sign when Wembley was booked and he had an offer on the table that only a mad man would knock back... Only he didn't, he lost his pen, again, and decided instead to play silly buggers with Tyson instead of giving the fans Undisputed. As for time-travelling, Fury v Wilder 1 was end of 2018, we will soon be entering 2023
Joshua's legacy is quitting against a fat midget in New York then grabbing the mic and crying after getting beat twice off a Cruiserweight.
Yeah, that's the guy who's accepting every fight, but it happens the other side is always having a problem with their contracts, conditions or whatever...
Wilder and Fury publicly stated they were going to freeze him out...they then followed through on that. What do you think? The Wembley date, and hundreds of fans booking flights and hotels was a publicity stunt? Joshua was a bellend for low balling Whyte to cancel Wembley and go on his American adventure, but he obviously tried to fight Wilder, April 2019. You lot have a warped view of history when it comes to this guy. I am happy to criticise Joshua and his A-side games as much as the next man, but it's all one way traffic on here. I'm off to bed, enjoy the mother's meeting
I June 2019 in New York is what people will remember at Madison Square Garden when the Big Humble Crumbled. That is his career defining legacy fight that people will remember before any other fight.
Not sure I agree with that. The Martin, Molina, Parker, Pulev and Takam bouts were all particularly impressing and exciting against Top 10 opposition.
