This is obviously not a bad fight but is it lame that I was hoping for Romero vs Cruz instead? I'd like to see Cruz get some fights against some bangers that suit his style and stature.

You have to see this as a Shakur UD. I don't think he can stop Cruz because Tank couldn't. If Tank couldn't stop him, then I'm pretty sure Shakur's not going to be able to stop him now that he's fighting at a higher weight class. Punching power goes down when you move up. However, I remember that when Tank broke his hand and had to rely on the jab to keep Cruz off of him, he was doing amazing. I could see that a pure boxing style would give Cruz a whole heap of problems. Maybe Isaac could prove me wrong, but I don't think so.
I hear you on that. It would be a classic in the making. However, I think that a Shakur and Cruz fight would be intriguing. Shakur showed a tendency to wanna bang in his last fight. Plus, I just wanna see if Shakur can handle those shots from Cruz. It could get dicey for Shakur.
Don't like this fight for Cruz. Prefer him to face a come forward fighter so we could see a war. I wish Cruz would turn this fight down actually.
Horrible matchup for Cruz. Slick boxers are his kryptonite. Agree that Cruz/Romero would be an awesome slugfest.
