Wonderful effort by Denzel. Proved basically all of us wrong, who were worried he would get blown away.

I’m not trying to bring any negativity, but the Top Rank interviewer was right (although his questioning wasn’t the greatest) Denzel started too slow, and looked a bit bewildered- he was probably thinking like the rest of us, that this Janibek was some special talent.

It dawned on him from around the 5th, once he figured out Janibek’s southpaw stance and his rhythm, that he could handle it and started dishing out his own punishment. He should have used his jab more, which Janibek was struggling to slip and was driving him back and squaring him up, leaving him open for body work/right hands.

I honestly think that Denzel can beat this dude if he was to get another run at him.

He’s had a very busy year, so a nice break is in order, than defend his British once or twice and go again,

After last night, I can see Frank being willing to bring Janibek over for Sheeraz to have a go. I would also be surprised if Eubank doesn’t ask Sky to make the fight, assuming he comes through Smith.

All of a sudden , more fighters will have the balls to face Janibek.

Middleweight is so weak, you're gonna see some very weak champs there. Sheeraz is garbage. I noticed Sheeraz has gone up 28 places on boxrec without even having a fight recently lol wtf, so looks like they are trying to manufacture him a shot.

Agree with that. Though the interviewer was a total moron.

    "Were you scared" like ffs.

Denzel seems a great lad as well, really hope he gets another opportunity, made an awkward customer into an entertaining fight.b

Also proves the whole you can lose well in boxing thing. His stock has gone up hugely

middleweight is so weak. Sheeraz is crap but even he'll probably get a shot a a world title soon lol. I noticed on boxrec hes moved up 20 odd places for no reason without fighting, so looks likes hes being manufactured into a shot

I'd imagine theres gonna be some very weak belt hold holders in this division. Eubank jr should finally win a title judging by how poor the division is.

Boxrec runs on a points algorithm, that would only happen if boxers above him loose points, become inactive, move weight divisions or retire.
