Do women actually watch woman’s boxing?

There were quite a few women and girls at the Seniesa Estrada fight last night. They do see women like Estrada a role models and motivation for bringing women into the sport.

Yes, there are some poor quality female boxers, but there are some crap men boxers as well.
You can see some excellent techniques in boxers like Estrada and Taylor and Serrano; they have all the tools to make exciting fights.

I hate that it’s being pushed on us. I didn’t pay DAZN and ESPN subscription to be told I need to watch this. 99% of the time they are utter garbage fights. Add in 2 minute rnds (which is actually a blessing cause it goes by so quick) and the 10 rnd championship fight, makes it even more watered down version of men boxing.

They add these to the men show cause it can not survive in its own. Just like the WNBA , they will take a financial lose just so they can scream equality.

 

I think like a lot of things, it will be youngsters watching it now who decide to either take it up or be a future fan. I am sure it will get followed more as it gets more exposure. TBH the only women I know who follow boxing prefer watching the men beating the **** out of each other than women. Full respect to the women fighters regardless of their fan base. The quality might not be great, but I have seen a few fights where there has been plenty of heart and courage in the ring.

 

I am a big supporter of women`s boxing as anyone who has seen my various posts on the subject will know.As to your question i don`t think many women watch it on TV but you do see plenty watching it live though this could probably just be a social night out

 

No. When girls watch fights with us they walk away from TV just like straight men and do something else while women fights are on. Who wants to watch women fight??

 

The risk is not the same, but even so if it was that should make it worse.

Men are putting their lives on the line for at least some semblance of honour and glory.

Women are putting their lives on the line for what? The circus.

I'd wager 99% are men(not including the women who watch because their man puts it on tv) and less than 1% of women actively put the fight on without a man.
