I am a big fan, but a realist. He’s sliding bad. He looked sluggish against Szeremeta despite crushing him, he looked bad against Murata even AFTER he started to beat him badly, as evidenced in his slow shots and at times, appearing to struggle to pull the trigger. Then, the awful showing against Clenelo.

    He doesn’t have much left.

Even if you want to give Golovkin credit for the 1st Canelo fight, the other two fights were fair, the 2nd fight was close but still scored fairly. Canelo was the aggressor landed the harder punches and won a close fight, so again he would still be 1-2 vs Canelo does that make him top 10 Middleweight ?

It was only impressive when Sergio Martinez struggled with Murray and Macklin, when GGG cut through them like a hot knife through butter it don't matter. When he is robbed blatantly, it don't matter. When GGG arrived on the scene, you look at the ring magazine ratings at the time, and GGG mowed over the whole lot of anybody who would fight him and made it look easy. Then have fools saying his whole career is based on the his wins vs Canelo being stolen from him. The crooks don't have that much power.

Firstly it's your opinion that the fights were stolen from him, the 1st fight was controversial which i had Golovkin winning 7-5. But i can see an argument for Canelo earning a draw, it's certainly not in the same league as Lewis/Holyfield 1. And even if you want to give Golovkin the 1st fight vs Canelo, i didn't see anything wrong with Canelo getting the nod in fights 2 and 3. So he still would be 1-2 against Canelo. And how highly do you rate Canelo at Middleweight ? he's certainly no great Middleweight for me.

And of course alot of Golovkin's career is based on Canelo fights, because Canelo is by far the best fighter he fought and he went 0-2-1 against him. Outside of the Canelo fights his best wins are over Brook which was a ridiculous fight, and Jacobs and Derevyanchenko which were also controversial debatable fights. So people want to give Golovkin the benefit of the doubt in the Canelo fights. But then also turn a blind eye to Golovkin's controversial wins over Jacobs, Derevyanchenko.

Cause if GGG got what was rightfully his after the first fight, he may not have even fought him again.

90% or more of the boxing universe had GGG winning the first fight. It’s almost rooted in fact at that point.

For Canelo to rank as high as GGG at middleweight he would have to KO 18 more in consecutive title defenses and win one more decision. As of right now he has one title defense vs Jacobs. He has a long way to go. Canelo couldn't even make the weight for those fights, in a division he supposedly had to grow into.

Canelo is short by 19 title defenses. He's not even in Golovkins stratosphere, and short 18 title defense KOS.

It is. If the first fight had the right guy winning, then the second fight would be more tolerable, but the plan all along was for Canelo to win. Nothing other than that would be acceptable, they saved him from a sure loss, then gave him the benefit of the doubt in the 2nd fight.
