Ah yes. Getting paid a meagre 100,000 for 36 minutes work is definitely modern day slavery.

 

thats what I was thinking. He shouldve just took it the numpty. It's not like he has a fan friendly style, hes not a puncher and he wasn't suited to the pros.That was a good deal for him.

 

I understand but Sky and Boxxer have established their stable now pretty much so they are more selective with their signings and headliners. He’d be better off being the main British prospect at Matchroom where if he ends up fighting in the US in a big fight it’d be a Matchroom show.

Whoever advised him to leave Matchroom is a bit of an idiot. He isn’t American or British, he doesn’t speak great English, he wasn’t knocking opponents out - I don’t know what more he wanted.

Was Ziyar Aliev. The doughnut felt he should be on £250k minimums and fighting for a world title within 3/5 fights. Said he would go to other promoters and dice fought once in 2 years. Boxers sometimes need to look at the management they have rather than the promoters. Rumours he’s potentially going to retire which is a shame

Boxxer clearly had a plan for women's boxing which Jonas has signed up for; Matchroom has Taylor and Cameron and a few novelty acts like Bridges and Shanny so not exactly interested outside the likes of Taylor-Serrano.

 

It's not much after fees, commissions, expenses and taxes are paid. What would he be left with? £84,000 before all of that.

 

Matchroom takes a P&L view of fighters over a reasonable time period. Perhaps they thought that's all he'd generate.

 

To be fair, it's mostly only one lady as @Plaistow is a familiar friend of ours from Brixton.

It was minimums. So if he fought a tickover against a journeyman he would get that. If he fought for a smaller title etc he would likely get more
