Sexton when he was still undefeated, Vitali Klitschko, Pulev, Whyte, Parker, Fury, Usyk, Haye. Helenius, Johnson and Takam were good match ups also. I'm not going to say we expected him to win half of those fights but even when all odds are against him he comes to fight, and that's why he's loved by many.
He's shyte. He's not remotely entertaining - just a big useless lump throwing a daft overhand right that you can see coming with next week’s post. Right self-entitled muppet too. When his mum had to intervene because he was refusing to walk first against Parker
He's "loved by many" because many are easily sold to. I can't think of much that is appealing about him. Can't remember the sexton one. Both Pulev bouts were absolute stinkers. Klitschko bout was boring - could give Chisora only about one round, neither hurt, both tired (Klitschko was ancient). The first Whyte bout was good. Parker bouts were fairly mundane. First Fury bout was decent while unremarkable, second was a stinker. Usyk was a snooze - totally outclassed, Chisora looked like an amateur. Haye was good. Helenius was a bit of a stinker, with Helenius boxing with one arm. Johnson bout was pretty boring as usual with any Johnson bout. Takam was good. I'm glad you enjoyed them. I would only have about four of them living up to this excitement and "war" that Chisora supposedly brings.
Fans like me won't be attending or buying the fight so I'm hardly the problem. However, I can understand a fighter wanting a run out before the biggest fight of his career. The fact he can make good money while doing so makes it an even smarter decision, whether we like it or not. There's not much else to it but by all means, continue....
This content is protected Fury now saying he doesn’t know how long he has left (probably retire again to avoid Usyk) and using the mental health crap.
He definitely won't avoid Usyk. I don't think there's that much in that clip that's inaccurate but he does contradict himself when it comes to money. He says he's not coming back for the money, which implicitly suggests that he doesn't care that much about money. I think that is clearly wrong. What he never seems to be asked about or address is the status he has accumulated through public adulation and becoming more of a mainstream focal point. I get that he's human, but I think that has become a major part of his self-concept, much more so than for somebody like Usyk. The ultimate test for Fury's mental health would be to lose to Joshua, and to see how that impacted him. I dread to think.
It's in a stadium because Fury can sell out the o2 three times over. Even for a **** fight. It'd be nice if it wasn't PPV. Sadly we live in an era where even **** fights like Pulev V Chisora and Trevor Bryan V Stiverne are PPV. It is what it is.
No that doesn't wash, sorry. Firstly, Pulev v Chisora 2 wasn't PPV, it was included on an £8 DAZN subscription. And whilst Bryan v Stiverne was $19.99 on fite.tv, that was exceptionally cheap for an American PPV. Not to mention, it was actually a well matched and entertaining fight. Besides, did anyone actually buy it? More to the point, King tried to make Bryan v Dubois $30 on fite.tv, but BT sport were sensible enough to include it on their regular subscription. So, there is really no excusing BT Sport putting Fury v Chisora 3 on PPV. It's a dead rubber match that no one wanted; a cash grab preying on a deliberately misinformed audience. There's zero way to polish this turd. Though I expect them to continue to try.
Yeah the 2 others were Golden Boy shows. I'm talking about the UK. I doubt anyone in the UK got up to watch Jousce Gonzalez vs. Jose Angulo at 4am.
Consider this a public service announcement, as it seems you aren't the only poster confused by how a subscription works (@Glenn McKrory): If you pay for a one month subscription with a streaming service like Netflix, Disney+ or even DAZN, you get a full 30 days even if you cancel. I encourage any boxing fan to take full advantage of that. So, even if you are some die hard Matchroom fanatic (bit odd), there was also a Matchroom card on August 6th, which was within 30 days of Chisora v Pulev 2 (i.e. you got 2 matchroom cards + everything else for £8). Now, whether or not that fits in with your very specific viewing habits is only something you can figure out. ----------- In summary, Fury v Chisora 3 is a turd that won't flush
