Was just watching some highlights from both fights When both were at their best. The Tyson that fought Bruno was on point, great head movement, with brutal power punches on the inside idk if Lewis jab would have been enough to stop the "ferociousness" of Iron Mike. Would have loved to have seen it around that time instead of the mismatch we actually got in 2002.

That was peak Lewis vs a declined Tyson.

Bruno just froze and Tyson picked him off. Watch how many times Bruno clinched - his courage left him.

I pick Lewis in a thriller. It might resemble Tyson-Ruddock.

Lewis would cause Tyson to have a melt down, Lewis had his episodes of being beaten by boxers he should not have, but the threat that Tyson presents means that Lewis would be bringing his A game.

Interesting. You get both those versions like I stated in my OP one fight and you really can't say with confidence that either fighter would dominate the other, but if you were going to go with one guy to win by KO ,it would have been Iron Mike. Regardless it would have been a great fight!

Lewis would win because he had a far better corner, Don King tried to entice Steward into training Tyson in the mid 90`s but Steward said no because he wouldn`t have full control over Tyson`s training camp, Tyson had nothing but inexperianced yes men in his corner for the Bruno fight, Jay Bright was the same idiot that trained him for his fight v Douglas.

I don't know of a single person who thinks Tyson from the second Bruno fight was Tyson at his best.

Still in his prime and still ferociously knocking dudes out. And i dont know of a single person who thinks a Young Mike Tyson was his best version of himself either.

Lewis polished him off so quickly that it would be difficult to ascertain what would materialize facing that version of Mike. Especially when you consider that Golota looked like he wanted to be elsewhere even before the opening bell. In addition, he was doped up on lidocaine given to him by his physician for a knee injury which left him groggy and impaired his vision. The Bruno II Tyson was ferocious. His best post-incarceration performance.

    I dont think so.
People here are underestimating Tyson in that stage of his career and over estimating Lewis.

I think to myself if the Lewis who beat a shot Tyson was timid to let his hands go, what would be the case of Lewis against a Tyson who has only lost to Douglas and yet to be taken by Holyfield?
People need to realize that Tyson-Lewis took place 5 years after Tyson faced Holyfield.
The Tyson after Holyfield was a psychologically reduced fighter who no longer thought of himself as an invincible force. Tyson was clearly a diminished fighter heading into his fight with Lewis.
The Tyson after the Bruno fight still had alot in the tank, I think that version if Tyson stops Lennox Lewis.

Tyson from the second Bruno fight is the best post-prison version of Mike Tyson, but he still loses to Lewis.
I don't think that Lewis Vs Golota is peak Lewis, but one of the best editions of Lennox Lewis (prime), and peak Lennox Lewis is from the year 2000 (Michael Grant, or Frans Botha, and the victory over David Tua is routine).
    Lennox Lewis wins this fight.
