True. I guess I meant, consistently boxing and going pro earlier, getting a good trainer early, and being undistracted by crime

As I suspected you seemed to only watch Liston's fights with Ali, and nothing beforehand. I don't think anyone's defense would look too shabby against the most accurate heavyweight of all time. It didn't help that Liston had fought 6 minutes in three years, had a known shoulder injury going into the bout, and if the latest records are to be believed, was in his 40s when he fought Ali (at the youngest he was 34).

Even so he made Ali miss some punches. (4) Sonny Liston - Defense Highlights - YouTube Go to the 20 second mark (though I highly recommend watching the full video so you can learn how wrong you are."

He didn't "often lose motivation either". It was against one opponent when he was very likely in his 40s, seldom trained, and had a known injury going into the bout.

If he lacked heart, why didn't he quit when Williams staggered him, and broke his nose? Or when Valdez shut his eye? Or when Marshall broke his jaw?

Again, you seem to be repeating cliches regarding Liston from these casuals you're criticizing and the media of his day without actually watching Liston nor studying him in depth.

Liston is the most fundamentally sound heavyweight next to Joe Louis.

So, in other words, you plagiarized a post and tried to pass it off as your own until you were called out. Got it.

    Nope, again proving you wrong.
I never said it's mine, I said I quoted it but I can make a good post myself.
    But nice try again.

You didn't quote anything. You copied and pasted it without linking a source, quite clearly implying it was your post. Fortunately, we're all smart enough to know you can't write anything resembling coherency.

Regarding your statement "I can make a good post myself.", you couldn't make a good post if someone had a gun to your head, and told you to make a good post or he'd shoot

I quote a random man from redit like you quote someone and that is not called copy paste as you want to make it.
I never claimed it is mine but you did so please don't embarass yourself anymore.
You are smart enough to read what I wrote and that is that I quoted a random man from reddit.
Quoting and copy paste are different things.
it's important that you can ha ha.
You should rename yourself with the name I have crush on Williams or I make excuses for every Williams loss.

Sonny Liston was a legitimate great fighter. Unfortunately his career was interrupted with inactivity at nearly every point he looked great. The difficulty is not in recognising his greatness but in assessing his chances against other great fighters in the absence of him being in great fights that he won like the other great fighters got to have.
