Of course, not Holmes or Tyson, but one of the many alphabet City Heavyweight s.?
That if were active today, and could beat one of the title holders now..

Definitely Tim Witherspoon and maybe Greg Page and Pinklon Thomas. Tony Tubbs (in shape) would also have a chance.

    Definitely Witherspoon imo too.
Not the later version but the young, Old school fighter, who took Larry the distance so close.
Now that Tim Witherspoon knocks the crap out of most of the guys now and picks up a title.

I rate Witherspoon as the third best heavy of the 1980s. Very much pick & mix out of the alphabet boys of that decade but Tim just about takes it.

    It's such a selection Stevie, the 80 s fellas.
On their best days, their tough in any era, their worst some were shocking.
But Witherspoon was some tough Sob.
It's a pity he had all that crap with DK to deal with.
I can see him giving AJ a beating.

Pinklon Thomas and Tim Witherspoon are the stand outs for me. You could throw Mike Weaver in there aswell I think.

Weaver could definitely surprise people. Can imagine him and AJ or Ruiz!

I think he'd have a good shot vs Joshua, Weaver has a very good left hook which Joshua can be vulnerable to. Unless Joshua gets rid of him early as Weaver could be a bit suspect early on. I think Weaver could stop Joshua late on.

Uh, if it's not just heavyweight, I could name dozens but I'll start with Mike McCallum.

Edit: Sorry, I just read the thread title. For heavyweight only, I would go with whichever one got to face Anthony Joshua. Otherwise, if we are just discussing which could beat Fury or Usyk, none of them.

I’d give spoon the best chance but honestly I don’t know if any of those guys could beat Fury

    Spoon and Dokes.
Spoon has too good defense for Fury, and I don't know how would Fury react seeing Dokes speed.
