I think Tommy Fury is in big trouble against Jake Paul.

The entire Fury family are a set of c unts. Typical horrible gypos.

Looks like Fury is renegotiating his purse. Paul’s PPV in US did tank but it still brought in c$20mil in sales. Tommy doesn’t want this fight. Making a fool out of himself

 

The funniest argument to me is that Paul has been facing non-boxers. The vast majority of eventual boxing champions start off facing part-timers who are far from boxing professionals, but average Joe's who do a bit of boxing as a hobby and to make a bit of extra money on the side. Paul's opposition has been carefully selected, but he's still been facing men who are, or have been at some stage, high-level combat professionals. The difference between an average Joe who does a bit of boxing and a high-level professional athlete of almost any sort is staggering. It's better than the opposition nearly all professionals face to start out with and certainly better than the dross Tommy Fury has faced. I couldn't believe my ears when John Fury tried to rationalise his son's 10-100+ opponent as a hard, seasoned boxer who knows his way about a ring. It's like saying an average Joe is a pornstar, just because he's made a few shaky 20 second sex tapes on his iPhone and goes to sleep on a bed every night. I would love to see Tommy Fury get knocked out.

 

I don’t see Fury having his zero if he fights the same fighters as Paul did. I get the risk reward worry, it’s an embarrassing loss when Paul beats him and I don’t see him ever taking the fight

 

Can skate close to forgiving this entire carnival nonsense for one thing.....

He'd never get another payday like it again, most likely. But I've heard he's raking it in out of the ring. I don't think that his role as an influencer or brand ambassador and general celebrity would take much of a hit losing to Paul, as his celebrity is not centred on being a hard man, but a handsome, goofy bloke (as far as I am aware). If he doesn't take it, I think it would be because he couldn't hack it mentally. I will lean towards the fight happening.

 

Just as an aside, why is Carl Froch getting involved in this nonsense? Surely he doesn't need the money?

Is it ego, money, what?

Which I get, but surely he can't be skint, he's always struck me as someone fairly level headed, hasn't he got loads of property etc etc? Mind you, even a 45 year old Froch would be formidable, he's never looked overweight, or chubby even in retirement.

 

Once Tommy Fumbles pulls out again because he isn’t a boxer and doesn’t have the mental tools to fight a man who isn’t paid to lose against him.

Then at least he will disappear without trace I back where he belongs. I am tired of seeing this coward constantly pull out of a fight against a part time boxer youtuber.

He needs to go back full time to the world of loose women with blow up lips, IQs lower than a cricket, caked in fake tan on reality TV.

Problem with fury is he has zero power, he just pawes with every shot, always out of range and scared to engage. His style is boring it’s like watching Olympic boxing.

He has no chance of beating Jake Paul, I used to think he did but not now. I doubt he could beat half the women boxers that are never off our bloody screens.

 

Froch probably sees how much he put in to his career and to see the likes of Paul out earn him in these gimmick fights is probably quite hard, and very irritating to see

 

Wouldn’t have to train for it except maybe a run a few times a week and some light sparring a few hours. Would probably bring fans to the event so would be able to command £1m+ (if the supposed purses the Paul’s previous opponents have got are correct). Be stupid to turn it down.
