Did some at the WBA wake up from a nap from 2016 and decide this fight should be made now? Which of the 7 WBA titles will they fight for, super, regular, medium, small, lil, baby, infant?
Ugh. I hate this fight so much. Errol has nothing to gain here (other than the easy payday). If he struggles at all here, he looks bad. If Thurman is able to actually desire to fight and can summon 2016 Keith, he can at least make Spence look bad. This should be 4th-5th round stoppage though in a one sided fight, but I bet we see Keith on his bike all night in survival mode.
Keith "One-time" Thurman about to turn one-time into two-times, letting the light shine down upon any mortal that even dares to get in the ring with him. Spence KO5.
No point of Spence staying at 147 if these are the type of fights he’ll get. He looked way too drained vs Ugas.
I will be rooting HARD for Thurman to upset Spence and ruin the big money fight with Crawford. Those guys have done nothing but earn my disdain for letting this drag on for so long. Lets go ONE TIME.
Lets get this fight over with. Once it was fascinating, way back, now they are both not the same but I'll watch. Thurman so inactive no one knows if he's sharp, in condition, what? Taking more than half a decade for this dudes to fight each other.
Thurman to old now. If he was tentative against Barrios , he is going to be scared shitless against Spence. Also how the hell did he earn a rutile shot?
He didn't. He sat around for a year or so, sold his title to Manny Pacquiao, then sat around some more. Now he's decided he wants to fight Spence, because there are no other lucrative options left for him. He's cashing out what's left of his career, and he's only getting the fight due to his cozy Haymon connection. He didn't want to give it to us when it meant something, kept saying it was "on hold", "not on my to-do list", "not discussable", "not in the near future", that it would happen "sooner or later" and "eventually down the line" and patronized Spence as "still a young, fresh champion" (who'd just done what Keith was too timid to do in visiting Kell Brook's manor and ripping the IBF title from him). Truly one of the biggest phonies currently active in the sport.
Only name I want to hear being discussed as Spence's opponent is Crawford(and vice-verse). Thruman should be thrown in with either Ortiz or Ennis.
