Thoughts? Sounds like BS to me and would like to hear Hughie or Peter's version of events. Hughie never been close to going down his whole career. He also admits to not dropping Fury as previously suggested. This content is protected timestamped at 9:14
The most interesting part is that he says he's "out to win the world title" and "this belt that I've got is going to...keep winning and that'll put me right up there", so he clearly doesn't think of himself as a "world champion" like Charr, Bryan, Povetkin Chagaev tried to moonlight as.
When will Bakole be back out ? Seems like he’s suffering from the same fate as Hrgovic before the Zhang fight Billy.
Dubois vs Bakole would be a cracker, I actually fancy Martin to beat him. Cannot see Dubois fighting a live opponent until he gets his title shot.
Bakole currently 3rd in the WBA rankings, surely he should be ordered as Dubois mandatory for the WBA regular? I bet Frank is itching to get him in with Lucas Browne. WBA OCTOBER 2022: 1 MICHAEL HUNTER 2 DEONTAY WILDER 3 MARTIN BAKOLE 4 ANTHONY JOSHUA 5 ARSLANBEK MAKHMUDOV 6 LENIER PERO 7 TREVOR BRYAN 8 LUIS ORTIZ 9 ZHAN KOSSOBUTSKIY 10 LUCAS BROWNE 11 AGIT KABAYEL 12 KEVIN LERENA 13 JONATHAN GUIDRY 14 JARRELL MILLER 15 IVAN DYCHKO
Cannot see it myself. Bakole sticks it on him and Joshua smiles on the canvas again with jelly legs/stiff torso
By the time Joshua next boxes, he will have had two wins in almost four years. The forum experts like @Mitch87 etc you used to say that Fury's wins prior to 2018 Wilder were not worth considering as too long ago and things had changed since then. Apparently one win against a 39 year old Pulev, who was never up to much even in his "prime" and one win against Mexican Mr Blobby, with the nearest win coming two and a half years ago, gets you a high ranking...
