I like the theme, but I don't agree with the list. I don't know Amanda Nunes well enough to talk about her, but I would put everyone else ahead of Floyd Mayweather Jr.
I mean, boxing aside since DC clearly doesn’t know the history of boxing… who the hell has Khabib beat to be ranked above someone like GSP? Both retired as champ but one has a better resume, more title defenses and won belts in two weight classes.
Georges St-Pierre is legendary, and his case reminds me of Lennox Lewis (also beat everyone he fought). I wouldn't compare GSP and Khabib Nurmagomedov because I'm nowhere near expert enough to argue. I'm just saying...
Brock could never have won a UFC title in this era, MMA fighting has evolved a lot, however he did have a real amateur wrestling background anyway.
For Khabib's diehard fans, it has little to do with his resume as they're always demeaning his past opponents for tapping out. It's more to do with weird, superficial stuff like going 29-0 and never bleeding in the octagon. If GSP had a chinstrap beard and a unibrow, I'm sure he'd be #1.
Khabib was the best crotch sniffer of all time but that's about it. He had one dynamic and was rated the most boring fighter to watch of all time. And don't forget the Gleison Tibau fight. Tibau stuffed every take down atempt 11/11 and got two takedowns himself and had the most landed strikes 46 to 33. Tibau got absolutely robbed and was never granted a rematch! But for some reason no one talks about this. How Khabib ranks above any boxer at all is ridiculous.
Khabib is miles above 90% of boxers, he`s almost unbeatable in MMA fights, maybe one of the greatest combat sportsmen of all-time.
Khabib has never had 1 professional boxing match in his whole career and has turned down all opportunities that came is way so how is he 90% above all boxers if hes never been battle tested in a straight boxing match?
Greatest sportsman of all time? Spitting on a downed opponent then throwing a temper tantrum, jumping over the cage and creating hundreds of melee's is in no way " the greatest sportsman of all time" acts. Thats More of a disgrace to any sport.
Lost to Tibau and only has 3 top quality wins in his whole career in RDA, Poirier and Gaethje. Nowhere near the GOAT of all time in mma. Don't insult our intelligence. Khabib was a top quality 155lb fighter but simply didn't do enough and was AFRAID to challenge himself at 170. All the greats in combat sports challenge themselves against bigger men except Khabib who always had to kill himself to make 155. Tiny midget Frankie Edgar was the champ at 155 FFS at one time. That would be equivalent to Khabib being the 185lb champ. That puts it into perpective.
