    What match that actually happened was between the #1 and #2 (or closest to this) ranked Heavyweights on the all time rankings?

    I'm thinking Vitali vs Lennox if we're considering their all time head to head statuses?
    Foreman vs Ali?
    Tyson vs Holyfield?
    Lennox vs Tyson?

    Since this is not related to where they were in their careers, my top matchup would be #1 Ali against #3 Holmes. Interestingly, Boxrec would tell you it's #1 Ali and #4 Patterson.

    Lennox Vs Vitali is a good shout. I’d also say Holyfield Vs Tyson was pretty close. Only draw back being neither was in his prime.
