Probably this gonna happen in Jan 2023. Very interesting fight. Stanionis was never knocked out in amateurs/pro scene so in my opinion it gonna be close decision. More opinions?

Too risky for Ortiz (and for everyone else). Not sure he and his team will go for that fight. If that was for the super belt yes, but for regular i don't think they will risk.

Bad fight for Ortiz. I think he will be exposed in this fight.

I think he's confident against Stanionis. He sent a petition 1 month before to fight him. Ortiz jr finally needs to show us against a guy who was never knocked out if he's really a KO machine.

If Ortiz is the genuine goods, he'll stop him or take a lopsided UD.

Great fight, its rare when you see undefeated fighters risk their "0" in a fight this significant. We saw one last Saturday with Martin and Rivera, and possibly now with this one. Its great for boxing and I think Ortiz will have to face Adversity to pull this fight off. Ortiz late TKO

Stanionis is the better overall fighter with the better amateur pedigree. Ortiz is getting overrated, I'm very confident Stanionis wins.

Is this fight happening? Vergil should be a different level than Stan, but he does leave himself open sometimes which could lead to him getting caught. I'd favor Vergil though.

This has the potential to be an excellent fight. Ortiz will be seriously tested and we'll also find what level Stanionis is mentally and his ability to carry out a strategy. This will probably come to experience & will.

We know Ortiz fights more upright, behind an extremely high guard which protects his head & he also pumps a good straight jab at you. Fighting him, you have a target at the body and sides of the body. A fighter should also use a lot of feints low and try to make him bring his guard down for unexpected rights.

Stanionis fights from a low crouch where both his body & head are protected, and also has a great jab. Another strength which could be effective against Ortiz is his body work & hooks that could get the side of the body & go around the high guard. Stanionis can sometimes be caught in between punching though. He needs to watch for uppercuts too bending in.

Overall, this is a great match up and kind of too close to call.
