Chris Eubank Jr vs Liam Smith - December 17

Just watched an interview with Paul Smith and reading between the lines I think this fight happens in January.

If it goes in December, they'll have 5 weeks to prepare for each other and also sell a PPV for SKY - hardly ideal.

 

Liam Smith is the clear better boxer ability wise. But the going up in weight makes it interesting.

 

Riakpohre vs. Glowacki will be on this card.

 

Charisma is a synonym of personality. Personality is a big reason to be attracted to someone. The fact that you mention his charisma so much as another man gives me a valid reason of me asking if you are gay. Personality has never won anybody a fight, ever. Only if someone allows it to get in their head and I don’t think Eubank’s dull personality traits are capable of that.

I don’t find it worrying that I don’t like people given undeserved opportunities based on who their father is. I’m my opinion, if I was happy with that, that would make me a big loser to be honest. Someone who just accepts things for how they are and doesn’t call out injustice and want to strive to be better. Considering you place such high importance on personality, I’d say that this is a good personality trait from myself. You say I sound angry, I’d say you sound like a Tory voter who is happy for someone to be a multi millionaire when there’s people as good or slightly behind him who have earned buttons. That is wrong mate, so I’ll call it out until I’m blue in the face or until he comes and batters me with his charisma.

 

Don’t pretend that you’re a social psychologist who specialises in personality. Just because charisma is sometimes interrelated with personality does not make the two synonymous. Maybe in your special language, pub talk, but not in reality.

You sound like a low-life, uneducated imbecile raising the issue of someone’s sexuality because they have described a boxer as charismatic. You’re literally shooting down any boxing analyst. It’s also ironic that you hazard a guess at my political position, based upon a stance that the opposition to the Conservative Party have taken for some time now and that’s to ram the politics of sexual equality down everyone’s throat. Even if Eubank Jr retired now you could argue he has had a decent pro boxing career. I hate this insinuation that unless you win multiple world titles then you are a tomato can and unworthy of even the faintest of praise.

In my view it shows innate toughness and strength of character to be born into privilege, attend a private school and still elect to get punched in the head for a living.

 

I think Eubank answered any questions about his heart during the Groves fight. Plenty of flaws in his boxing, but zero deficits in the grit dept. He's a brave, tough fella.

I’m not shooting down every boxing analyst. If they think he has charisma, then whatever but they don’t use it as a huge reason as to why somebody will win a fight.

Jesus Christ. You clearly don't understand how thesauruses work, and don't have much experience using them. Definitions in dictionaries are highly debated, nevermind what is regarded as a synonym in a thesaurus. There is a reason why dictionaries and thesauruses contain separate definitions. I've done a quick scan of at least four reputable dictionaries, none of which interlink. Thesaurus.com does not provide 'personality' as a synonym for 'charisma', but does so in reverse, as it does 'temper' and 'identity'. I've already inferred that 'personality' is the science under which something like 'charisma' is grounded, and 'personality' is governed by social psychology, but this is all over your head and you think that bashing something into a thesaurus takes into account the context of your initial nitpicking and desperate search for something to moan about.

Let's consider the context which has guided the direction of travel. You have literally gone from a post I've made about how Eubank is much better than Smith (skills, charisma, maybe athleticism or something) and used it as a vehicle to accuse another member of homsexuality and being a Conservative voter. That makes for a humorous juxtaposition between the victim mentality that you so proudly project, and your out of whack, chip-on-your-shoulder moral compass. Your thinly veiled bigotry is a representation of who you are, and what you so dearly regard as "proper".

You think that whinging to me in a post about who you think I am is cutting, but what you fail to understand is that I would never wish to be validated by someone like you; that in itself would be a worrying reflection on who I am and ultimately a failing. You are overly bothered about who is a ***** and who isn't a ***** and all of the rest of it. If you can't engage in the back and forth without getting hurt then just avoid it. You're a Nancy.
