What injury was Floyd suffering from in Castillo1 ?? It was claimed to be a torn rotator cuff but did he ever have surgery or did Ellerbe heal it with his consoling caresses???? He was no more injured than fly ROFL
Now Pac was genuinely suffering a torn rotator cuff against Floyd & the surgeon who repaired it gave a statement proving that. You & others tried to ridicule Pac over it but the NSAC refused him his previously promised Toradol shot before fight, so the fight could go on, saying he hadn't ticked the right box on a form !!!!
BTW Did Floyd apply for a TUE for his ILLEGAL 750 ml of saline he received in his own home ??? LOL
No Floyd was special the NSAC issued him a retroactive TUE 3 weeks later . Yet you worship the scumbag cheater

If I was a ball licker I would have agreed with the thread topic and said pbf is the greatest ww of all time. But i didnt and my reply to this thread was hell no he isn't the greatest ww of all time, he's nowhere close. I said he was the Goat at 130 which he has a very strong case for unlike at 147. You're almost as bad as CJ who refuses to give pbf any credit and thinks that he wasn't a great boxer.

He's still out fighting exhibitions. We're not going to be able to put his career into its proper historical perspective until he's been retired for at least 10 years.

Belts mean something when you're undisputed. Out of my list of the goats at the classic 8 divisions, only two aren't undisputed. When you're trying to become the greatest of all time in a division being undisputed really helps your case out. Those two who weren't undisputed fought in the toughest era of their weight class and showed that they were number 1 of the strongest era. Would you say that the 2010's were the strongest era of 147? I personally would not. Would you say that Mayweather without a doubt showcased that he was the best of the era? I personally think that Mayweather was the greatest of that era but unfortunately Pacquiao also has a strong case.

I like Floyd but he clearly cared more about being a p4p great than the greatest of a single division. You can't make the case of him being the goat in any single division but when you add it all together you get one of the greatest p4p to ever do it. I'd say the same about Pacquiao. Most modern boxers are gonna have a harder time becoming the goat of a single division. I think there are multiple reasons for this. One, is that the talent is spread across more weight classes. For example imagine what 112 would look like today if 105,108 and 115 didn't exist. It would be insanely stacked right? Being the best of that 112 would give you a very good resume. Unfortunately that 112 doesn't exist. The second reason is that multiple belts and politics makes it hard to become undisputed.

I hope that this ramble of nonsense made some sense.

His resume is pretty good as is his talent. It's just unfortunate his best wins came when they were past their best, it also wasn't like he was exactly young either, but still.

If he had fought Cotto and Pac closer to prime he'd have a way better argument. Still a great welterweight, just not the greatest which is Robinson and then SRL IMO

Floyd is just a tier below with Napoles, Walker, Gavilan, etc.

I don’t think that he’d have boxed circles around JCC.

I think that would have been a great fight.

Floyd was good enough to have beaten him, for sure, but I think that it would have been a tough fight.
